Is it possible to destroy a Tier 2 TF weapon and not be able to buy it back?

I made a Tier 2 TF falchion this morning. I ran several quests, filled my inventory, and did a sell all. I hit level 26 today, and can't find the falchion. I went to all the vendors I sold to, and can't find it in the "Buy Back" column. It is not in my shared bank. Did I just completely screw up and destroy this weapon?

I saw something on the forums very recently in which another poster said he was unable to buy back something he had destroyed. So perhaps right now buy back isn't working, or isn't working properly all the time.

You could put in a ticket and see if they can do anything for you. If you don't have any luck with it and are on my server (Khyber) I can give you some materials to help you replace it.

Thanks for the offer but I am not asking for free mats. Honestly, I bought most of the stuff on the AH immediately before making the weapon and will not have any difficulty replacing it. I just don't want to burn another 4 mill plat to replace something that will just pop up eventually in my buy back tab.

This is more of a "Am I a moron?" or PSA post to just bring attention to this issue. Maybe both, because there is never a shortage of morons in the world.

I didn't interpret your post as begging, I was just trying to do a community-minded thing. It takes some people a very long time to accumulate enough mats even for one Tier 2. Thank goodness it wasn't a Tier 3 item.

Anyway, this time at least you aren't the moron because it seems to be happening to other people. It might be a good idea to bug report what happened to you, just in case buy-back has been accidentally disabled or broken.

Someone else mentioned losing stuff from their inventory. If you can't recall selling or trashing it, it's possible that it just got deleted. So it might be worth your time putting in a ticket.
