So, my artificer is nearly to 28, once again, and I'm thinking about doing some ETRing until the rogue pass comes out; the character is pretty much ranged only, so waiting to do 2 final rogue lives as a mechanic since I have a plethora of repeaters and ranged gear. So far, the character has done nothing but ranged builds (dws, arcane archer, artificer, rogue mechanic, shuricannon). I want to branch out and try some arcanotech stuff to conquer some arcane sphere past lives, since this current life of his he hasn't even put a single point into the arcanotech tree, just bladeforged, harper, and battle engineer.

So, that being said, is a pure spellcasting artificer viable? Utilizing the draconic destiny, I think having some decent electric spellpower and electric dragonic abilities combined with arcanotech's critical chance boosts and electric SLA's might be fairly decent. Would force/physical be a better path? The only technical issue would be the artificer's inherent lack of spell points.

1. Character is on his 8th life, totaling 3 artificer, 3 ranger, 1 monk, and 1 rogue.

2. Must be pure, must be bladeforged compatible. I really don't want to spend TP on a +LR heart to multiclass, this is just for ETRing purposes.

3. Equipment. Electric rune arms aren't hard to find and there's a couple good ones. If all else fails, you can't go wrong with lucid dreams or archaic device. I guess you would have to go with a repeater, simply because holding a spellcasting scepter/mace just seems silly.

Viable? Not worth the effort?
