Mimic Farming

So I've been farming Heroic Elite Devil Assault with a level 18. I only do the first wave then ddoor out, and the wave takes anywhere between 3-7 minutes and I get 5-10 chests on average. Does anyone know of anything that could possibly result in more chests per minute then this? So far I've gotten 38 motes per hour doing this. Any Difficulty should have a good chance of champion chests if you aren't over level.

3 chests per 30 seconds if you're doing this with a group of 3.

6 motes per 30 seconds if you are multiboxing (5 extra accounts) and have the other pike at entrance and pass you the motes.

I have to warn you that it gets boring pretty fast though. Like every other grind.

You could make it faster if you get a couple other people to go with you. 1 goes left 1 goes right 1 goes up the hill.

Irestone--enter door, turn sharp left and kill kobold cook & gang; backstep to group at base of hill; get next group a little above; go over crest of hill and drop down on next group; nail a few more groups on way to ogre mini biss by shrines, reset out. You will get 7-9 per run, faster with a coordinated run with a group.

Yeah I don't use other accounts so multiboxing doesn't work for me. And it took me 10 minutes to just run around the entire map and collect the chests so (for me at least) its 1 chest every minute so DA is a better option for me soloing. And thank you for the suggestion

Note that to have a time printed at quest completion I actually had to complete it. Completion adds 2 minutes to the run. I don't need to talk to crewmates or collect kegs or trap the ship or talk to the first made of the banshee.

Irestone......nah.... Theres a MUCH better quest....you'll get twice that inthe time, and about 30 during a frenzy.

Do tell....which quest is better than Irestone? Me an a guildy farmed around 50 motes each in one frenzy period in irestone. Made full circuit in about 2 mins each run.

A group of six heading in different directions could get lots of chests. Maybe not as fast though? Not sure. Anybody tried it?

Yea, that's one thing I liked about Mabar - a lot of people around.

Run around the entire map? 10 minutes? Solo I could run the entire thing and get the chests in 2-3 min then just recall and reset. Much faster with 2 people and even faster with 3 people. Like 30 seconds with 3 people lol

Not sure what you're in, but I've found Haverdasher meets the 1/30 sec goal when solo, closer to 1/23 sec with a partner (partner stays by dude at top, soon as last scorp dies he talks & loots/kills while I run back to entrance after loot/killing the Blacktail chest, exit & repeat).

When the messege gets fixed, I've debated farming the respawning Champs with an Iconic in Siegebraker (start quest as soon as a Frenzy ends), and just letting the chests pile up until Freny time - then complete the puzzle (stop respawns) and have room full of Mimics - no way to test the /min on that till the message is fixed though.

Yes, but knock works very well, and quicker than lockpicking. DC on elite is about 17-18, I believe.

There's a lever that unlocks all the boxes in the center tellers booth.

2 people with no lockpicking can...

Person A enters quests and runs to crystals. As soon as force fields drop person B enters...while person A destroys the 2 crystals person B wais for the force field around the lever to drops. When it drops person B hits the levers and heads to the chest area and both start opening chests.

Little longer this way but still best chest farm in the game.

Best option is to enter quest with 6 people...several with knock. Don't even worry about the crystals. Just knock every chest while people are opening.

Our best run this way yesterday was 250 motes in 1 frenzy
