Dire bear underpower?

Hi guys , im having trouble in lvl up my dire bear...alpha strike dont have good dmg , and i cant tank very well....my Fighter lvl 9 with vanguard enhancement , are doing MUCH better dmg and survivor then my poor druid lvl 12....any advice??? thanks guys , sorry about bad english , google tradutor here!!

Dire bears are pretty, well, dire compared to wolf builds: much slower atk speed (even with the Nature's Warrior capstone) and worse crit specs (20/x3 dire bear vs 19-20/x3 winter wolf). The only semi-viable bear builds, IMHO, focus on Cleave atks (which aren't affected by atk speed) and Alpha Strikes; see this build (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/454311-Request-Bear-Tank-build?p=5511371&viewfull=1#post5511371) for one attempt.
