To the folks in charge of designing new icons for skills, feats, enhancement and such, there is one rule that has been in DDO from the beginning that you broke and need to fix:
If an ability is
PASSIVE
then the icon should be
OCTAGONAL
If the ability is
ACTIVE
then the icon should be
SQUARE
This isn't hard to keep straight. Please fix the wrong icons ASAP. Thanks.

...and while you're in there... :-D
Please make the "Congratulations! Guild ___ Necroed their way to 150!" different from "You're uncentered!" different from "Spikes! On your hands!" different from "Evil? You're not evil!" different from "Careful, acid is about to kill your hireling!"

Do you spend all your time in game looking for the most petty and inconsequential things you want fixed? This is getting truly sad.
This must be what happens when you have everything in the game and no character slots left.

I'm wondering if the /bug system is broken, and that's why you're coming to the forums?

Really people, how is it rewarding to insult and make fun of people who are bothered by something in the game? How is that good for the community? How is it good for the game?

Its a matter of how its phrased, and how many negative threads in a row someone makes.

Without any details given, it just comes across as a rant. Rants usually get the same responses. How is anyone (player or dev) supposed to know which icon(s) the op is referring to? Without giving that information there is little to no chance of it being fixed. If the op really cared he would be more detailed to help identify where the problem exists.

So why not politely suggest they rephrase their post instead of baiting and insults? This gaming of the community guidelines is very destructive to the community and to the game itself. It has gone on far too long.

How many times does that help in making the poster change his style? It does happen, but its a rather rare occurrence.
I know the way people handle it is not the nicest way of doing things, but its just the way people react to threads like this.

One cannot know if it is working or not. It seems to have at least been broken long times during the time I have played (2009 to today). In several instances there have been dev comments to the effect that they did not know something was broken despite several bug report on the thing.
So based on that there something badly broken. Yet at times devs have also posted that they have received bug reports on something, so I guess it is one of those "it is broken quite often but there is no way to know from outside when it is broken and when working" things.

The OP sets the tone for every thread. You can not fault people for following that tone. Be respectful and polite and you will NEVER see me be rude to the OP. When the OP starts off ragging on whatever then expect me to return the same amount of respect to him.
Now...how about YOU mention to the OP how next time he might want to be polite and we can see how that works out. If you follow this poster though you will quickly find that all he does is complain about every little tiny thing in the game and he calls other people idiots and morons simply because they disagree with them.
Also I'm glad you have appointed yourself the forum police we need it =)
