Hello guys actually I have some question about my next life build. I read many threads about the morning lord and now I have some ideas but so many questions.
First I want to say I want to build a sun elf wizard (Wizard 18 and Cleric 2), I want some support from the Divine disciple to boost necro or universal spellpower and critical; I see is the way of the necro caster is better, but I don’t know if the wizard can have the evocation option, I mean if the elemental caster will be best option than the necro caster.
My first motivation is the Lich form I see is a good way to cast powerful spells, but most people suggest me to play in wraith form, don’t know what to do in this.
Next topic is about the melee combat, never played a wizard before but I think he can use the heavy mace and a good orb to slain bad guys, so I don’t know if the wizard can swap damage to int or dex I have that mistake.

About the Stats:
STR 13
Dex 16
Con 16
int 18
wis 11
cha 8
Feats:
Metamagic caster set
Dodge
Evo or necro Focus
Single weapon
Critical bludgeon
maybe power attack
And Finally I have another mistake about the 2 cleric levels, does it affects the damage on monsters and they resistance too hard? How can I fix it? Just with the spell focus on the cleric enhancement three?
Thanks for reading any suggestion on this build will be appreciated I’ve waiting for your opinions.

Not sure what you are trying to go for. Usually Wizard's use spells so melee is only powerful enough to get you to level 5 wizard (i.e. crafting allows you to get there). 18/2 will work although not really sure how much 2 cleric will actually give you. Pure Drow may be a better option simply because you don't have the two cleric levels (but that's me min/max the build).

min/max
Max - Int/Con
Remaining - Strength (or Charisma)

Look up "Pale Trapper" for Feats (should be identical).

Someone may be able to give you a more up to date video (that isn't on Youtube) but this is a basic video of what you will be doing on a PM. I've seen better but seems PM's have fallen out of favor with all of the melee changes.

Basically lots of moving, jumping (line of sight/targeting issues), and casting FoD, DoT's & AoE's (vs. Named/undead),Wail, CC, and Debuff

Yes you right the cleric levels really sucks but the necro boost is great, maybe using some dodge could be better than combat feats

To help shed some insight, I have a melee Wizard that I reincarnated into an iconic, however I chose to take Shadar-kai and multiclassed with Wizard that way. I've always wanted to build a melee Wizard and I've tried desperately to get something to work - this has been the best so far.

The thing I've always found lacking was damage, where you give up your casting or your melee strength... it was really hard to get both.
What I would suggest is to go into the Harper tree as much as possible and take the INT to damage and INT to attack as well as Know the Angles as that puts it all into INT instead of trying to balance INT and either DEX or STR. There are at 4 +INT in the Harper tree as well, which IMO makes this the best route to go.

With my build, I went heavy into the Harper tree to try and keep it as balanced as I could while still spending in the Pale Master tree to get the necromancy benefits. It got tricky with AP as I wanted a third tree as well, but I only had a handful left to do anything with, so it wasn't much of a benefit to the build (I was using Archmage, but may look into changing as I didn't have enough to get the 2nd SLA like I thought I was going to). To streamline the Harper tree, you could get +4 INT, INT to hit/damage, Know the Angles, +15 HP, +100 SP (24 AP) and then stop there to give more flexibility with a third tree or put more into Pale Master, but I went for the 5th tier as I felt it was a better choice then took PM up to tier 4.

I'm happy with my build although I don't feel it will light up epic elites. It's been good soloing so far - my skeleton hogs aggro and I chop things up and heal us saving a lot of SP for when it is needed most.
Unless you really want the ML PL, maybe try a different iconic and run it as such, but mostly it would be a preference as to where you wanted to focus your skill set to be more of a caster or more of a melee build.

Just for fun I decided to build an Eldritch Knight Sun Elf pure 20 wizard (non-pale master). As a completionist with several epic PLs as well, I was able to solo Dagan at level 20 and LoD (on EE) at level. Fairly well equipped and reasonable competent at playing. Heavy into the Harper tree (really, it's what makes EK actually work). THF (great axes- since I have lots of them from past lives).
If I was to redo the character, I might suggest replacing 2 wizard levels with 2 other levels - fighter, paladin or cleric. Losing 2 wizard levels means you lose INT from the capstone and one metamagic feat but--
2 Fighter levels adds 2 feats and martial weapon and heavy armor proficiency (major boost)
2 Paladin levels add martial weapon and heavy armor proficiency and saving throw bonus (major boost)
2 Cleric levels adds heavy armor proficiency, better self (fleshy) healing and no +1 heart is needed for the build. (minor boost, plus no stone).
Overall, I think adding 2 fighter levels for the 2 feats and heavy armor is the better way to go.

If you plan on making a melee wizard, then make a melee wizard. That means either
1. forget about dc based spells and go str based and split between ek and pm
or
2.use the harper int to hit and damage, going this route will cost a good chunk of ap, and then you wont have enough for ek AND pm stuff, so you will have to pick which one you want.

Not sure how you are planning on going evocation int based, necro, melee. You just don't have enough AP or feats to fit all that in.

Forget about chosen weapons of your deity, those are a trap, get yourself a great axe, falchion, or a pair of khopeshes, they are far better damage despite not having that +2 or whatever.

I ran my full wizzy as a melee and did just fine in EE runs. Full EK and Bladeforged tree only. Buff spells SLA heal and Reconstruct for heals. Strength based 70 without rage and and other possible buffs. Ran in the Crusader ED used my Sireth with an 11-20 crit range.

Can't imagine where would you get spare points to get anything useful from cleric trees to be honest.
I went 1 rogue/1 cleric. Heal as class skill, full traps skills.
"Classic" PM just with a DC or two lower. Took all three spell pen feats this time and no Empower.
Illusion slas for heroics, you have ~ 40 DC pk, finger and Circle in GH ( aka Godmode ), pws+ Necrotic ray and dbf for aoe.
Necro slas for epics - 61 Necro / 54 Enchant at 24, and enough spell pen for EE drow underlevel.
It's okay. Just more dancing and webbing and holding - lots of Deathwarded junk . But requires previous caster experience I'd say.

Good luck, but either build a melee or build a caster.

I think the issue here is how t use a Sun Elf. They have an Int bonus, Con minus, some arcane caster bonuses, Grace and bonuses with maces plus a huge Heal thing.

That is a complete mish-mash of things. So what to do? Stick with the Cleric or make use of the Int and Arcane stuff? Or try to do a mixture of the two?
