Or just buy one from the DDO store.

Everything has to be free? Yeah that will make Turbine keep DDO going

I actually wouldn't mind this--you CAN change alignments in PnP, after all, because it's supposed to reflect your character's philosophy and actions.

What I think would be cool (but probably prohibitive in terms of resources), would be to add "alignment" choices to quests. Either a dialog option, or a method of completing a quest, like choosing the diplomatic option. Any given option would give you so many points toward a given alignment (law/chaos/neutral or good/neutral). When you accrued enough points on a given axis, your alignment would change. The DDO store alignment changes would basically set you to max-that-alignment. Or, you could go to a specific church and get an Atonement cast on you which would give you a pause-on-logout debuff that would last a couple of hours, and when it wears off, your alignment resets. And maybe have a small benefit (like 5% bonus xp) for staying at Max Alignment.

So, basically, it'd add:

1.) more actual roleplaying and in-game significance to alignment choices
2.) a method to farm an alignment change should you desire
3.) more significance for religions in-game
4.) not too harsh on people who don't want to participate by always picking the "alignment-proper" response.
5.) small benefit for those who "play" their alignment.

But, like I said, doing this would not be a SMALL change in any sense of the word.

DDO Store is an option for the power-gamer, and build optimizer, totally valid point, i get it.

I was thinking more like, i do this chain of quests, then i do that super though raid, and then due to lore and role play reasons i am being offered the chance to alter my alignment, even if just 1 step at a time, like going from chaotic good to neutral good -or- from lawful good to neutral good..etc.

Please?
