What is defensive stance? Because stalwart defense is not.

Don't forget about Resilience. It is also a defensive stance and one button that gives you +6 saves and +4 AC is a great combo on fighters. Saving throws are a weak point on pure fighters, and this plus action boost: saves if you have it, will help you against traps and spell casters.
