I would like to use my main character's name as my forum name. Is it possible to change your forum name? I did create a new account with his name but after reading the privacy policy it says that a person may only have one account and if they have two must choose which may post. Can I change so that my new account with my character's name may post instead of this one? Thank you for any advice.

Submit a web ticket at http://support.turbine.com/ics/support/splash.asp, one of the ticket options is a forum name change request.

I like controlling what people know about me and what characters I play.

My signature has a character in it that was born during the first Risia Ice Games. That character only very rarely has ever joined another group and only when asked in a tell. That character is not optimized at all and is very squishy.

I like my anonymity.

Good luck in your name change.

Yeah, just send in a ticket to Community/Forum Support by visiting support.turbine.com. Click on Support Center, then Submit a Ticket.

I do have the ability to do this as well, and can accept these requests through PM. Keep in mind that it may take longer to get back to you if you PM me, but it's possible.

Funny enough my forum name is my first character's name, that i deleted like 5 years ago due to not liking the build (didnt really know enough about TRs at the time :D )

I can totally understand this^, i also prefer not getting random tells due to someone reacting to a forum post or similar.

I did that, and I received the following response from them:

"We apologize but at this time we are unable to offer Community Name Changes; this is due to potential complications that result from the change. We hope to offer this service in the future and have passed along your interest. If you are requesting a Community Name Change due to a specific privacy concern, please respond to this email with an explanation for your request."

Just FYI...

This is what I did. I have one main and really no alts--deleted them.

Might have to make a mule though...

I realize that I didn't actually answer your latter question, which is yes - we can adjust forum names on multiple accounts if you wish, so we could flip which name is connected to which forum account.

Thanks! I figured it was a simple misunderstanding :)

nice...I like playing my main with same forum name as well. No hiding here...you will almost never get tells .."are you the forum named lol" , happened to me only once...even with all the duper reporting I did ,and announcing it publicly.

Well, now that that's answered, how does one change the small text under their name? I don't just want to stay as a "Community Member" the whole time.

I prefer something like: "Self-Appointed Coin Lord of the Seas"

PM me for now. I'm working with our support folks to update the workflow in our ticketing system to prevent this from happening in the future.
