Has anyone else noticed that social agro is broken since the last update? I looked around the forums, but didn't see any mention of it. If you are playing an archer, you can pick off one mob at a time now without ever agroing the guys standing 2-3 feet away.
Fix incoming I hope? Makes it all a bit too easy.

I did notice this recently, but mob AI has been back and forth in terms of noticing damage to friends so I wasn't sure if its broken or intentional under current design.

but but... i dont like to kill monsters 1 at a time, i prefer to run in screaming and start cleaving.

Maybe that's an attempt at a fix for breaking the ability to shoot near to mobs to attract them. That tactic, which I used to fall back on quite a lot and even used it to demonstrate how awesome DDO was to others, hasn't worked since they changed the AI in the first place cause shooting a mob to pull all his mates. I've bugged it a few times, but not even seen it on the known issues list.

I mean; yes, I noticed.
It needs to be fixed, but actually, it was superior in how it worked before the stealth pass.
They need to combine the old awareness/tell your friends communications with the new he hid again and I can't find him codes.

I noticed that also, and we had a good laugh about them just standing there doing nothing while their friends drop dead. A pact was made among my group that if that starts happening to us out of game someone will do something! LOL

I've noticed.
The social Agro was broken when it was working. It not only alerted the target mobs buddy's 2-3 feet away but, full rooms in a wide AOE like effect. Pulling mobs from around corners behind walls and just way too much that shouldn't have gotten agroed.
Another aspect that was broken when it was working was how much hate it generated. If a ranged player hits mob A with Precice shot (single target) & B,C,D,E,F are Social agroed but, not damaged a melee could cleave the group and they will ignore the melee to follow the ranged who has done no damage. That makes as little sense that an undamaged monster taking direct damage would not switch agro to the player actually dealing damage.
Now I understand the reason it was introduced was player feedback that it did not make sense for those buddies not to notice and I agree but, not the way it worked pulling mobs that were out of line of sight & behind walls, or ignoring actually being damaged by melee.
Honestly being able to hit one mob at a time with out pulling their friends might be "too easy" but, grabbing agro of the whole room(+) made ranged even easier (faster to kill) by lining the mobs up for IPS much easier.
