WARNING!! - Characters get rolled back on stuck loading screens

Perhaps yall have heard about the lag on Khyber today.

Well, I logged in to collect AH earnings then got stuck on the first loading screen. After "cleaning up connections" bug and eventual re-log I found that all the earnings were gone!!!

And of course, can't even submit an in-game ticket. Sent in an e-mail ticket though.


So this is a warning to everyone, for who knows what you may lose. Here's to hoping that Turbine may refund my losses!

Ouch. I have been stuck in loading screen hundreds of time with a cleaning old connection msg afterwards and never had a roll back...ever.

^ Same, so I've never been worried, just Alt-F4 and wait for relog.


Now we know this can happen too, perhaps best to sit and wait for it to clear up rather than relogging.

I knew I wasn't crazy. I was stuck in a load screen trying to enter Kundarak through Marketplace last night. after a couple tries trying to log in, gave up and didn't log back in until this morning. I found myself in my usual perch spot in Marketplace when I have down time.

Notably, the screen I was stuck on was also Kundarak (entering from Market).

OK, that explains it. I'm on Khyber too, not sure if that matters. Logged on today, first thing I did was hit my free Silver dice roll (You receive a 100 points.). Went to the bank, locked up on the load screen and eventually lost connection with the sever.

Logged back on an hour later and noticed the icon for a free daily dice roll. Checked it out and sure enough I got to roll again, (You receive a 300 points and 2 potions of Haste).

Wow. Sounded a bit unlikely to me, but have just logged back in after earlier lag freeze / disconnect.

I froze up in Storm Horns, logged back in was in Necropolis (where i was about 10mins before the disconnect).

Rather than loose things I now have a Legendary Victory token in my Inventory (got one from an end reward just before leaving Necropolis earlier).

This is crazy!

I got the extra roll, too, but I'd rather have my earnings back, instead. "Sold" lots of good items with nothing to show for it.

I leveled, went to tavern for a bit, and then to the ship and moved a bunch of stuff from bank to inventory. Lagged out going from the ship to the harbour. When I reconnected, I was back in the tavern, and that stuff is gone. Not in inventory, not in bank. *sigh*

Well this is discouraging to hear. I had some issues last night as well as my guildie and we were both booted from the game. Although I believe my issue was more related to my ISP as it appears to have gone down temporarily for whatever reason but my guildie told me he couldn't log in back in and was stuck on the loading screen. I didn't lose anything besides the time I spent in Tomb of the Tormented and I hope he didn't lose anything either. I hope they get that fixed, it would be discouraging to those things from a stuck instance. I never paid much mind either..until now.

To follow up, I have to say that I got a very fast e-mail response to the ticket, and the issue was resolved in a proper and understanding manner. Way to go! Hope to continue seeing this kind of support in the future.

Now let's hope they fix up the server soon...

From talking to guildies and support, I now understand that this wasn't a usual "stuck on loading screen" issue, but rather a mini-crash of the server, and that's why we're seeing the mini-rollbacks.

well, happened to me once (at least as i noticed) - i was w my guildie in Reclaiming the Rift quest, we finnished it , claimed the loot from end chest (both got lucky and got Embrace of spiderqueen) and both crashed when recalling out. After coming back to the game, we were both in eveningstar cavern, quest was marked as finnished in our logs, we collected reward for it, but none of us couldnt find any loot, including both sets of embrace in our inventories. So yeah, lot of things can probly happen ...

Rollbacks can happen in laggy circumstances and quitting the game.
Had it once with a public instance I teleported to that lagged out during load screen.
When I finally could log back in a Tier 3 GS which I had just crafted was back to Tier 2.
