Doesn't seem to be. Not really all that rare, I usually see him at least once if I run it three times(each difficulty), and the club seems to drop fairly often if he's there.

The muckbane has gotten more difficult to find, IMHO.

Just find an everbright weapon. Even better, if you find one during Risia Ice Game that is level 6 to 10 you can make it be a 2 to 6 by Icy Bursting it. Check the Auction house for them.

You could always keep an open eye out for other glass/crystal items as well. They too, like muck's bane/doom, don't take damage from their rust effects.

I second the Everbright idea. If you can find a bludgeon (mace, hammer, maul) of Everbright, it's pretty solid. As a hint, shocking often works on Ooozes, so shocking weapon of Everbright is a nice alternative.

Shock don't work on ochre jelly. Fire and cold don't work on grey ooze. Arcane oozes take half damage from any element and are healed by acid. Your best bet is screaming, since no oozes mob is immune to sonic damage.

If you have some levels in cannith crafting, you can make a greatclub of everbright or you can ask someone to craft it for you. What server are you on?

thanks for the suggestion about adding festival icy burst to everbright weapons - I was thinking that I have no need to run the risia festival coin jumping, since I use epic named weapons. but I stopped using muckbane this year on oozes/rust monsters when I realize how little damage they were doing - adding icy burst to the everbright weapons sounds like a good plan.

Theoretically Elite has the best chance but not sure if that remains true. The old system/code rewarded you better named loot chance with difficulty but they went away from that with MotU expansion and norm/hard/elite rewards. Now that they have gone back to a single version of each item in the last couple updates, not sure if they went back to the legacy loot drop code too.

you could do Vicious also instead of screaming--newer players might not like the self-damage but with oozes, you want to kill them quick to protect your gear

Are there varying levels of the weapon? if so, maybe one I can use atm (level 5 for toon) and one some higher?? not sure what it takes for crafting so that may be too much. let me know. let me know where to go or how t o get it if you can. also how much money you want. ty

ok I sent you ingame message with character info. and message about getting no mail. shrug. not sure if I checked too quick or what. will keep checling for awhile. headed for church soon but can check again when w e get back. as for a similar weapon also, my son could use one also if you are willing. np if not. he is level 4 almost 5

The old legacy quests (like durks :) had the same named drop rate on n/h/e so very farm-able.

There's also a muck shield you can get from The Captives quest in the Cer Hills from a rare muck dude near the waterfall (beginning of the quest) if you use/equip a shield and want to shieldbash the snot out of the mucks lol

As others have mentioned and graciously offered their help, cannith crafting a club with screaming is a great option.

based upon your other posts, I suggest you just skip crafting for now. If you think you want to get into down the road, just take all your random loot items and deconstruct them in the specific crafting halls (House Cannith, some Guild ships, and House K). Really, though--I suggest you just skip it and enjoy the game. It is not necessary.
