In all that time he has found one +4 tome. He has +3 tomes for everything and a +4 for wisdom. That's it. And he just found himself a +2 to +3 CHA tome about a month ago.

My monk is now up to 143 runs (mostly EH, a few EE) of Druid's Curse without finding the Ivy Wraps. At this point I don't think the Ivy Wraps are better than what he has, but I'd like to find them just to say I did.

I think 3-4 tomes start dropping somewhere in the lvl23-24 range. I also found these very rarely in the FoT raid on EN/EH.

The ivy wraps is the kind of loot that has double-silly rolls, since first you need to actually get a rare to spawn, then you need to roll on the named drop.

I think tomes got some major nerf sometime, because lately i just dont see them drop. Not even with full party. In 3 barrel cove SRE, i do remember pulling 2x 3 to 4 tomes from there (several months ago), plus you may be able to benefit from the named items that drop there.

PS: i dont accept luck based explanations, if its there with an #n rate, then it will show up with that #n rate.

I have never ever seen +5 (or +4 to +5) tome drop for me on my current server nor on any of the previous ones on any of my alts. So you are not alone in this. And I have spent a lot of time in the +20 level range but bad luck is bad luck I guess...or the jewel of fortune is messing up the loot tables.

I got two or so from daily dice (one even today!), but I also have never seen one drop in-game.

Well, I was in there and the loot goddess provided us with a +4 to +5 charisma tome, and a +4 tome, all in two different champion chests. Quest is not even EE.
And just last night, two Avithol rings dropped at the same time to two different party members...

I don't know, but she acts in mysterious ways... at least the chests I was bestowed were not mimics, I am thankful for...
I don't know its the halflings I am with that she is pleased with or?

I've had six tomes drop *ever*, and I've run more lives than that. One was a +3, in the penultimate room in Relic, and the other were all +1 - four stat, two skill. I'm not into conspiracy theories, but I have a friend who pulls them all the time. Didn't believe him until we ran together, and he'd gotten three or four before we got out of the Harbour.

Another friend just passed me a 5->6 cha tome, so maybe we're just the unlucky ones. :( Turbine, flip my tome flag please!

There's always the Auction house? You'll never see a +4 to +5 tome in the plat one (ok, I saw one one time, in all this time), but I see +3 to +4 upgrade tomes weekly (they always get bought for 2M plat, but they're there). There are two in the G-land AH at this moment (both already bid up to the max bid, just waiting for the time to expire)

I don't think I've ever personally pulled a +4, but I have +4 Int on a couple guys, and at least one +4 Str and +4 Dex on another, due to the AH.

Just to mess with your conspiracy, I found (or got from end reward) four +3 to +4 upgrade tomes last week, no jewel iirc. I haven't pulled any ability tome in 1-20 content for more than half a year, though.

Back when the max level wa 20 I pulled a +4 int tome out of epic dragon, and it was really a "screen cap or it didn't happen" moment, because back then the discussion wasn't weather or not they dropped but rather "are they real?"

In the last week I saw 2 +5 to +6 tomes drop in the same "fire on thunder peaks" run, not in my name of course, lol.

Pulled i dont know how many 3-4 upgrades so far, several 4-5s and i saw 5-6 upgrades.
Saw ee ivy wraps drop 2 times but i dont run druids outside of saga runs.
Drop rate is prolly ok now with recent drop buff.

+5/6 tomes do drop.. the ivy wraps also drop. for the best chance to get good loot run the quest 2 lvls under.. eg lvl 20 running lvl 22 (base lvl) quests on EH/EE this pushes the loot tables 5 lvls above you and you will find a ton of shiny that you are to low of a lvl to equip.

if you are on cannith hit up jillad or horible (best to send me a PM b/c i am usually in anon hiding from the needy and greedy fails) i might have a few spare tomes kicking around (actually i have a ton over 70 surplus stat and skill tomes.. all from chest loot) i also have some on fave farming servers.. you can PM horible (or horrible) on most servers, i do a server log of all servers 1 or 2 times a week.

theyu cant be to uncommon; players i dont even kow still give them free in loot chest,if they dont need. I received two +4s from that player in 3 runs recently. I have looted them myself,but it can be long between seeing any. I also have sen +4 upgrades and +4skills in breakables over time as well.

Screenshot or it didn't happen. Mod and Necro with 2 gem yes, Thunderholme - I find that really hard to believe.

Anyway, 4 and 4-5 are not that uncommon, and there was Maban, 5k favour and such.
3 and 3-4 are common now.

I tend to be lucky with tomes. Pulles 2 +4 tomes when max lvl was 20

I Pulled +4 tomes from random epics too mostly upgrades i never pulled a +5 one tho but i think
Thats mostly because i dont raid.
