Hello fellow DDO players, I am very new to DDO but I am learning as I go. I was wondering if there was anyone who could lend me a Drow Rogue build as I am not very good when it comes to building characters...especially for a game so in depth like DDO. I will be using daggers (as that is what rogues do). I do like being in the action...I know rogue are sneaky...but I may not sneak that much. But I do want to play a rogue because I believe Drows are a great class for that.

Thank you very much!

Welcome to the game and the forums. Check out Hassan's Assassin in my sig. It is a human but at the bottom of the first post you will find instructions for adapting the build to a drow. The build is designed to emphasize assassinate DC, dps, and survivability. As a first life you will have to make some sacrifices to at least one of those, possibly two depending on your tome situation.

On a first life drow, I'd probably start with the following stats:

str 8
dex 17
con 14
int 18
wis 8
cha 10

With this, you will still have a decent con and will qualify for greater two weapon fighting (requires dex 17). You will not be able to reach the stat requirements to get improved sneak attack (requires dex 21) or epic toughness (requires con 21) unless you have tomes though. You want to invest most/all of your level up points into int to boost both assassinate DC and dps. I would not suggest investing in dex or con instead of int to qualify for improved sneak attack or epic toughness, even on a first life.

With these starting stats, you'd need a +4 dex tome to get improved sneak attack, and a +6 con tome (I don't think +6 tomes are currently available, but they will return to the DDO store soon enough) plus 1 level up invested in con for epic toughness. With this setup, follow the same feat progression as listed in the build for the drow variant. If you don't want to use any tomes, then just drop those two feats, invest all level ups into int, and use the following feat progression:

feats:
1 two weapon fighting
3 toughness
6 precision
9 improved two weapon fighting
12 imp crit pierce
15 greater two weapon fighting
18 insightful reflexes
21 overwhelming critical
24 toughness (yeah, a second one)
26 perfect two weapon fighting
27 epic damage reduction
28 elusive target

Whichever option you take, I'd still follow the same enhancement setup as listed in the build under the drow variant. Hope that helps.

Thank you. What do you mean First life? Like first Drow character? I took a look at the Drow variant on that thread, now for skills I should follow the ones he had for his human build correct? Also for those Feats, I know you can choose three when you create a character (if you decide to go that way, which I read I better) what would I choose at the start? Now these Tombs you speak of, what are they and where would I get them. I am planing ahead here for when I get 400 favor to get the Drow, I currently have a level 2 rank 2 Paladin.

Thank you!

hi Megatoxic, in response to your questions:
1) you only get one feat at first level for a rogue. If you are human, you get a second one
2) tomes are rare powerful items in the game that permanently raise ability scores at specific levels. So a +1 tome of dexterity will raise your dex by 1. This occurs at level 3 and cannot be used ('read') before then. Min levels of tomes progress every 4 levels from level 3, so +2 at level 7, +3 at 11, etc. You can acquire them in-game or buy them from the DDO store. Remember the minimum level requirements--if you buy at +3 tome you cannot use it until level 11
3) 'first life' refers to reincarnation. Once you get a character to level 20, you have the option of reincarnating them back to level 1. They will get more ability acore build points.

I recommend the DDO wiki for more info!
