Specific example

"Horn of Thunder: Spell-Like Ability: Horn of Thunder. Activation cost: [30/25/20] SP. Cooldown: [20/16/12] seconds.
Blast your foes with 1d4 Sonic and 1d4 Electric damage per caster level. Sonic damage is doubled vs. Oozes, as the thunderous pressure disrupts their amorphous structure. Creatures making a Reflex save take half damage. Max caster level: 25"

Can anyone confirm that this just refers to the caster level of the class from which you derive that ability? So for instance, if you were a bard5/wizard15/epic8 with this ability, would it only be 5d4sonic+5d4 electric based off of your bard level, and then any items/enhancements that boost caster level?

Alternatively, let's say you're a wizard1/sorcerer2/bard17 (just theorycrafting here) and for each arcane class, you took magic missile. You would have one MM with CL1, and one MM with CL2, correct?

Thanks for any clarification!

yes, your understanding of the mechanics and examples look correct

With cleric past life active feat healing word, presumably the 'caster level' in this description refers to any levels in any class in the new life? I.e. You don't have to have cleric levels in the new life to benefit?

On that it would be character levels
