View Full Version : "thinking caps" everywhere - is this a glitch?

this is about the cosmetic "thinking cap" - you know the cosmetic headgear that kind of looks like a purple-pinkish lobster sitting on some-one's head?

earlier tonight I was questing on Khyber - level 19 cannith quests and both inspired quarters chains... and on several of the mobs I saw that thinking cap. while it was somewhat almost making sense in the inspired quarter, let me tell you a bladeforged paladin with a purple lobster on it's head looks... really unsettling :)

I am just wondering if there is any meaning to this, or if it's basically just some very random graphic glitch. I'd sure love to know how to duplicate it though, cause it really was funny.

Yea I dont know if that is WAI or what.. I know you need true seeing to see the quori on the lucid dreams rune arm.. Maybe you have True seeing and I just never noticed? who knows, who knows.

If you paid attention to the story, it would've made a lot of sense...

But yea, you can't see them without TS

Where are the bladeforged paladins in IQ?

You appear to be suffering from a mild condition related to glaucoma, that causes oddly-shaped objects to appear within your field of view. This is nothing to be concerned with at this early stage, but can cause some disorientation & in advanced cases has been known to lead to further symptoms such as paranoia & delusions of conspiracy theories, which may cause unwarranted agression towards those who simply wish to work to improve their lives. Please come to the Inspiration Centre within the Inspired Quarter to get checked out, as our healers are experienced in dealing with this issue.

At first I was like, woa, what a troll post, but then I was like, WOA, nicely done.

And yes, to the OP, read the dialogue :) They are under control of these creatures against their will!

Have you ever read a storyline in DDO quests?

He said "level 19 cannith quests and both inspired quarters chains".

Next time you run LoB maybe you should look more closely ;)

P.S. There was a decent summary write-up of the DDO story, which lays it all out chronologically, but unfortunately I don't have the link on me - maybe a bit later. In short, Restless Isles, Prison of the Planes in GH, IQ 1&2, and LoB are all related.

As far as I understood the story in LoB then the quori where trying to control the bladeforged and the lord of blades to stage an invasion of Eberron. Having lobsters on the bladeforged's heads makes a lot of sense in that story.

No. This would require me to:

1. Lift my finger from the "W" key.
2. Make me feel like a monster when I later find out all the Stormreach citizens I slaughtered were under some sort of mind control.
3. Make me reconsider helping anyone from the Silver Flame
