The ability score potions traded for Mysterious Remnants are not Enhancement bonus, and stack with everything else (except the store version of that same potion).
These potions do pause in public spaces, but this doesn't sound too far off from our expectations. Using them this way is essentially a "permanent" +2 that you didn't have before. We're relatively OK if that means you aren't rapidly accumulating additional currency/bonuses in addition to that.
In this post Varg explains that if your using remnants for the +2 lasting ability elixirs then you should be accumulating them at a rate that you could always have the potion running.
This may be the case in heroics as players have reported gaining ~1500 remnants doing a heroic TR but, in epics doing ETR running within proper levels to gain remnants in EE this is not the case unless your specifically farming quests heavy with orange named encounters.
This is essentially the exact same problem with CoV the Devs said, we would accumulate them going from running EH to cap and that was not true without farming high CoV/min quests.
