Trying to escape the lag monster I closed my client...

Now, the entire raid group is lagged out and not moving, and those of us that left are stuck in "loading" screens.

And then it just gave me a login server is full error....

What is going on Turbine?

That error is a known bug that they haven't tracked down. It is displaying the wrong message. It has something to do with not having been fully registered as logged out yet.

Shut down DDO, wait a couple of minutes and try again.

You know nothing, Hazelnut. Close down the client and wait and wait and wait more than a few minutes to restart and perhaps, when you do, you can sit and wait while the log in screen tells you it is cleaning up your character. In the meantime, anyone who is sitting on the server will see you as logged in most likely.

This isn't a shrug your shoulders and get over it. This is investing a half hour in a raid to get crippled by lag (12 people mind you) so bad you can't move. With a half hour or so invested, you wait to see if the lag goes away..another 20 minutes. If you close your client, you might as well go watch tv or play another game for the night.

So don't "yup" this thread, Angelic-council, with your "nothing wrong here"..there is a problem. so get your head of the sand. First you shouldn't have to close your client in the middle of a raid and, second, it doesn't fix a darn thing to close the client in the first place.

it can be local internet too....did you do the raid when every schoolkid gets home and logs in at the same time? Another thread , player said there was lagwipe completion there. Some players didnt DC and finished ,while alot of party was stuck in loading screen.

I think at least 8 of us in the group tried that Hazel. This was something else entirely.

The server seemed to snap out of it after about 20 minutes and everyone was magically able to sign back in at the same time.

They've borked something new with Friday's patch is my guess here.

all weekend has been jumping and spotting with lag. Many of the groups I was in had it, and so did guild members in guild chat. Sucks when half your stunning blows and fists are not connecting, and the healer is throwing heals and many not landing on all party members.

I'm not saying there is nothing wrong here. It's the case where he is still logged in and can't access due to not completely cleared session. If you experience massive lag in the game and force close your client then attempt to login into the same zone, you most likely get stuck in middle of the loading screen.

Like Neehla said, you shouldn't close your client if everyone is not moving and experiencing the same issue. Because the problem is not your PC, but the server.

There is also another bug where your character stops moving completely and take no damage, you can't cast or do anything while others can. I know something is wrong with all of this and DDO executive producer already told us that engineers are working to solve this. I honestly don't know when tho. Because this is not new.
