I'm sure turbine is well aware and probably working on a fix action, but I can't log into the game. Was working fine prior to the update but since, I can't log in. when I initially launch the game everything seems fine; i even get the username/password screen. This is when I first noticed the problem. The username box, that usually auto populates, was blank. From past experience this usually means something bad happened. The critical, game breaking problem occurs after I put in my username/password and hit <ENTER> - My entire computer freezes and can not be unfroze. Not even CTRL-ALT-DEL works. My only solution is to reboot; I have rebooted 7 times trying to fix the issue. So now...I'm flustered...and need help! Does anyone know the solution?

I have Python, running 3.4 but I'm not sure if it's set up correctly (or if that's even the problem). I read an earlier post claiming a Python issue but the directions on the fix action are not very well written.

I need help!

Same Here. Weird things are happening, lol. Just last week I logged in and all my toons were gone except for my Main (Tumada)..just that his class was different and he was at level 1. This got me thinking, I really hope turbine has our characters/gear/ingredients backed up on file (shoot if they don't I'll pay TP for a back-up), i would be super upset, should the game corrupt it's self, to lose (X) amount of progress in the form of time, gear and ingredients.

Anyway, more to the issue at hand...I hope there is a fix soon.

I was able to update/access the game on my desktop that runs Window's XP but not my laptop which runs Window's 7.

Issue Solved for me ( Windows 7 Home 64 bits ) after rumaging a bit in my bookmarks.

I downloaded the november 2014 package made by the nice guys from LoTRO here : http://tiers-age.leforum.eu/t530-Pylotro-Un-launcher-non-officiel-mais-rapide.htm
( Sorry for the French )

Direct link to zip : http://lotro.fosconetwork.org/scripts/PyLotRO.zip

I replaced the old PyLOTRO directory by the new one and everything seems to be working fine.
