Need more info.. how deep do you want to go in fighter vs. wizard? What kind of fighting style - 2wf, s&b, swf, 2hf? Give a few more parameters to work within please :)

One example i can think of straight up is: (fast & loose here without numbers since at work & throwing together on break)
12fighter/7wizard/1cleric - go with SWF using an orb in off-hand, i'd recommend taking the wizard levels first since then you'd have a little higher BAB later for the fighter bonus feats to make sure you can qualify for as many as possible.

Feats would include 3xswf, quicken, empower healing (take later since primarily for use in epics to power cocoon), improved crit (whichever you like, maybe a couple of them), maximise spell, PA, cleave, combat expertise, improved trip, toughness, enlarge spell (for throat dagger mainly)

Notable enhancements:
racial to get the mass DW & stuff
stalwart defender - stance & stat boosts
eldritch knight - mage armour & shield SLAs, the shields up proc, couple of cores
harper - INT to hit & damage, throat dagger, know the angles

As a fleshie wizard you want to take as much wizard levels as you can for better self healing with pale master shroud forms and deathaura+negative energy burst. Also 1 fighter level at least give you martial weapons and heavy armor proficiency (although cleric also gives heavy armor as well), haste boost, extra action boost and 1 martial feat, making it very helpful for a wizard/fighter playstyle. After that you can decide if want more Fighter or more Wizard levels, More wizard lvls if want more spellcasting and shroud of the lich, More Fighter lvls if want more defenses and feats.

1 option: 18 wiz/1clr/1 fighter, can use lich form, can use decent spells dc while being able to meele with harper tree, decent defenses with pm + heavy armor + eldritch knight+ displascemt defenses.

2 option: 16 wiz/1clr/3 fighter, use shroud of the wraith form instead lich, 25 more Prr/mrr and 20% more hitpoints from stalwart stance at the cost of no lvl 9 spells, 1 more martial feat.

About meele fighting style you can use Swf, Thf or twf; all are viable but Swf + orb is a good option so can fit easier both spellpower and meele abilities on gear; Thf is also good but less slots for spellcasting abilities. If Swf could use a Khopesh if have enough feats or warhammers if playing in Ld estiny.

If using staves could splash rogue instead fighter for acrobat enhancements, complemented with harper and pm, and also trap skills and umd
3 option: 14 wiz/5 rogue/1 clr , using quarterstaffs with thieft acrobat and shroud of the wraith.
