Editor box is grey when posting

Whenever I type a post the editor box background is grey and the text is black making it almost impossible to read what I am typing. When I click out of the editor box the background turns white. Is there anyway to change this? I see this on both IE and Chrome. It goes away if I use compatibility settings but then the page is all jumbled up.

Yes there is a fix but you have to use custom CSS to do it, here is a thread about it all :)
