I was griping about this last night. It's hard not to be cynical when they introduce yet another collectible, and then put storage options on sale, but maybe it's just an oversight and they'll change it in the next update.

*holds breath*
*turns blue*

Make them BtA and let me stock pile them in my ingredients bank in sacks of several thousand.

We specifically made them BtA so people could switch to the characters they wanted to play (or needed to play if their friends/guildies needed them) without feeling like they were losing ground getting MRs.

That doesn't sound right. I had noted that as something to look into.

Going to post this here. A random tangent that will de-rail the thread :)

Since mysterious remnants have been introduced I have collected 2 remnants. I play about 5 days a week and have been only playing my level 28 character running all sorts of epic content from MotU through 3BC and GH. The level based restriction on this new collectible for epic levels makes zero sense to me. All the folks I run with base epic level play on who needs what: XP, loot, flagging for a specific quest, or saga completions. No one is basing what quests we decide to run each night on whether or not a level requirement is reached for attaining remnants.

Not every nuance of the game has to appeal to everyone, I get that. For example, I leave all my Cannith crafting ingredients in the chests because that crafting doesn't interest me. This new remnant ingredient represents man hours of effort and money on the part of Turbine, shouldn't it have been made more readily attainable by a larger percentage of the player base?

level basing remnants is another kick to the balls to reason to stay at cap instead of dumping that XP to toiled as soon as reaching lvl28.

Perhaps an option to compress them.. like we have with Commendations of Valor into Heart seeds.

Just curious... what would your first purchase be with your remnants after you got a few?

Personally, I liked them better when they were called Epic Tokens.

So we have Epic Tokens, Astral Shards, (insert class) Comms, Comms of Heroism, Comms of Valor and now Mysterious frags. Each one of these replaced the purpose of the one before it. Can we please stop adding mats that should serve the same purpose?

Heck, the Mysterious frags even drop exactly like the old Epic Token frags.

I would stare at them chanting 'my precious' as I do with all collectables.
