Disciples of Shar (the unkillable sort)

You really need to take a look at champion disciples of shar, all but one of them was a champion when i ran it twice tonight, which wasn't a problem until... I had to reset the quest twice because I ran into disciples that could not be killed with their DR, regen and self healing. I potioned multiple times, stacked maximized dots on them, firewalled them... they just stood there spamming heal.

I love champion mobs for the most part, on epic quests. On Heroic quests, not so much.

Next time you could try putting a Cloudkill on them and/or dance them (or any other kind of CC that prevents them from self healing)

You need a solution that disables them (stunning) or otherwise makes them helpless. Even non-Champions, such as Orc, Lizardman and Hobgoblin Shamans do this and make it hard as hell to kill them without a solution.

Doesn't matter what your class, as just about every class has at least one Helpless solution for tough times. You just need to train it so it works on just about anything--and then have a backup plan for when it doesn't.

It's the beauty of the game, friend. The Champion system was added to pull the "leet" players from their complacency and keep the rest of us on our toes.

The good news is that Champions will not spawn below level 6 quests, but this doesn't apply to your situation.

Stinking Cloud nauseates enemies if they are hit. They cannot attack or spell cast. Look into that if you're a caster.

Disciples of Shar is the quest i typically run as a measuring stick for new iconic builds. I run it all the time but i have never before run into disciples that blocked my progress like those two did. I have cleared it with much less powerful builds many times, I guess I was lazy that night and or wasn't thinking straight, I completely forgot about clouds.
