Can't Discard BTC Bags

Any help would be appreciated.

I keep trying to throw away some BTC Bags that I no longer need to make room in my inventory, but every time I discard them, they keep coming back in my mail. In the meantime, I have been leaving them in my mail as I do not have any extra space in my inventory to keep items I no longer need.

I have been searching the forum for similar posts but came up empty.

Any suggestions or work around's that will keep this from happening?

I have tossed several away as inventory space got tighter and tighter in the past and so long as they were empty I don't recall them coming back. I also unchecked the auto-gather when doing so but I don't honestly think that would make a difference.

I have the same issue on one of my characters. The bag was empty, but it kept coming back in Lost and Found. I tried taking it out and deleting it again, but it kept coming back. In the end, I left it in the mail box - with the result that I now have a permanent mail in there, and I can nolonger detach the back from it. So no way to get rid of that mail.

I believe the issue is that it's a store bought bag, but I can't be sure.

I bought a collectables and ingredients bag off of the AH without noticing that they were exclusive. Since I already had one of each I could not detach the item from the mail, nor can I delete the mail. As a result, I now have 2 permanent pieces of mail in my mailbox.

You should be able to put your current bags in your bank, then detach the mail. Exclusive generally only applies to inventory, you can have multiple exclusive items as long as only 1 is in inventory at a time.

In your case, you can simply move the exclusive bag in your inventory to your bank and then detach the bag in your mail so it goes into your inventory.

Did that, tossed the new bags away, and they still came back into the mail.

If you want to keep them, put 1 in the bank the other in your backpack. If you want to ditch one, put it on the AH where you got it.

The bag is empty and the auto-collect box is unchecked. I believe this issue has been going on for many years. Just hoping someone found a way to make it work.

Yes, I believe mine was store bought. But there still should be a way to discard it.

I know this thread is about 1/2 a year old, but has anyone gotten this to work? I have the same issue. You can't auction off BTCoA items, which these bags are.

Why can't we just toss it away when it's empty? I also have a small hireling contract folder that I want to get rid of, but same issue applies. It's empty, I toss it away in a dungeon, and the Lost and Found team actually goes to Shavarath to find the stupid things and return them to me.

The issue still remains 5 years later. It has been sitting in my mailbox so long it is a permanent fixture in there. In fact, it is now broke, so I can't even retrieve it and try to throw it away.

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to let you know that I was finally able to discard my BTC bag. I had to submit an in-game ticket and the Dungeon Master was able to remove it from my Mailbox.

I just leave them in the mail. They won't vanish when expired, so I don't care. More unusual bank space ;).

Yea, I also have a couple of bags in my bank that I can't get rid of. Or at least I think they're still there.. I do leave other things in my mail intentionally to save space as well. Opened mail that contains an attachment doesn't get returned to sender or deleted, which imo is good.

Maybe they need to get a cleric to cast remove curse before they can dispose of it :D

I was able to finally get rid of the BTC bag. I had to leave it in my mailbox and write an in-game ticket. The DM was able to discard it from my mailbox.
