So the past couple of days, I have noticed on several occasions some unusual things going on.
Near the crafting fountain there is a stack of crates near the fence. There is enough room between those crates and fence for players to stand. I have seen at different times people standing behind those crates just randomly attacking the crates. I stood mesmerized and stared at one guy for about 5 mins. I came back after a tour of the orchard, and he was still there attacking the crates...like he was mad at the crates or something.
I saw other people doing this from time to time also...so I went back there and started hitting the crates...but nothing happened. What the heck is going on?

u know, some players have fun tr'ing, others grinding gear, other's becoming rich due to AH or ASAH, others hit crates...

This is DDO, I expect it's something like:
If you use a mushroom, then recall from a quest while bugged out on a ladder, you can get champion crates to endlessly spawn, so you can get infinite mysterious remnants.

It's just one of many simple methods to keep you logged in, even if ure afk... Hit the auto- Attack and go to the toilet to your painful bio break... XD

Yeah, something like that, or maybe...
If you stand whacking crates long enough, you'll be able to capture game footage of someone imitating you. :D

That would have to be one hellacious bio break, after...

...possibly requiring emergency aid or something.

Maybe he is helping the Silver Flame investigate a potential werewolf? I seem to get a request for help every time I pass through that area en route to the Orchard...

It's funny how guild level increases seem to coincide with this painful bio break for so many people...
Must be sheer coincidence.

Its like in Mario. Crates gives coins etc... Its funny how long Turnine ignores this "feature". Seriously how hard is for them to remove guild deeds from rewards table ?

The Iron Defender enhancement "Hunter of Boxes" has long been a favorite torture inflicted by the evil in that area. Somehow they manage to convert the homunculus essence into a spell component allowing "Box Rage" to be cast on adventurers.
Name: Box Rage
School: Enchantment (Charm spells) (Mind-affecting spells)
Level: Brd 9, Sor/Wiz 9
Spell Point Cost: 50
Components: Homunculus Essence
Metamagic: Extend, Quicken
Range: Standard
Target: One humanoid creature
Duration: 60 seconds +6 seconds per caster level
Saving Throw: Will save negates. New save every 3d6+12 seconds.
Spell Resistance: Yes
Cooldown: 2 seconds (Wiz), 1.5 seconds (Sor)

Well, I wouldn't worry your pretty paladins's head too much over this, it can't be an exploit, (assuming it happened on cannith), there aren't enough people on cannith to harbour a guild exploit.

Because most who did it are on a "vacation" from ddo currently

What would be more awesome than if sometimes monsters jumped out of crates in towns and non-quest areas?
Nothing!
