Just wondering if its possible to ransack a Champions' chest?
I'd assume not but you never know...

All I can say is so far even on a heavy chest dropping day I have yet to get a ransack message.

I just did a little test on this in WizKing. The room at the very beginning can have up to 4 orange named mobs in it (and when they spawn, they always spawn in the same place), so I cleared it again and again, keeping track of which orange named dropped a chest until I got one to drop a chest 8 times.
No ransack.
However, their appearance is semi-random, so it could be that the orange named mobs in that first chamber in WizKing count as different mobs each time. So later tonight I think I'll do this test again in a quest with an orange named baddie that appears close to the beginning of it every time without fail, just to make sure. And by later tonight, I mean several hours from now at least. ^_^

i hope not. if we are going to get mysterious fragments. we shouldn't have ransack. just have the items that are most powerful be expensive while the simple ones are a bit lower.

I pulled 50 to 100 chests in Devil Assault when they were dropping at roughly 50%. I think that is about 6-12 per devil. I never saw ransack. I did see one hair dye and one +3 to +4 skill upgrade tome. It was otherwise pure vendor trash besides the renown.

Run elite Bloody Crypt enough times and find out. The orange-named priests are almost always champions on elite, giving them a fair chance of dropping chests with easily repeatable results if you have the time and patience to test it.

Champ chests seem to be random in frequency, location and content for the most part. The content at least seems to mirror that of standard lootgen chests so in this respect their appearance increases the chances of pulling those rare collapsed holes or tomes which is a nice bonus.

Just finished demolishing Basalt from the Palace of Stone countless times (well, I guess I could look at my MM entries, but meh)... and got the champion bonus chest to drop 8 times. Much was my loot, and still no ransack.
While my testing cannot be considered truly conclusive, it does show that at this moment, it is highly likely that ransack does not currently apply to champion bonus chests.
I, however, will not be surprised, nor will I even be upset, if ransack to champ bonus chests does get added once the unique drops start appearing. Turbine has said in the past they want to encourage people to play many different quests. Chests that can give unique loot that never ransack will encourage players to find the best farming spots and do only that instead.
Personally, the amount of effort it would take to ransack a champ bonus chest is significant, as that is what I just tried to do. I ransacked Basalt's normal chest before I got even the first bonus chest to drop, and completely stripped the normal chest of all it's contents by the time I was around 3 or 4 bonus chests.
