A few years back this would have been what I'd have said: If you can't move and can't chat, I'd be looking at your PC and your network pathing. Why? Because the chat server is on the West coast while Turbine was on the East coast. If it was solely Thelanis as the issue only the game would have froze but the chatting would have continued.

As of current time right now I no longer know for fact where the chat servers are located. So see if you can't figure that one out. I highly doubt Turbine has taken over the chat servers, but maybe they have. If they haven't, what I would have said still applies.

Just logged on and moving around. If it was the whole server I'd suspect more outrage on the forums by now...

Apologies - by no chat, i meant no voice chat. Guild/player chats were fine.

I DC'd and now been 10 mins "Cleaning up old connections".......

stepped in house p froze at load screen re logged and now it will not connect the hamster is down!

Same issue, I froze while porting. Had to shut the client down. Now I cannot get past the Loading New Game Data screen.

Relogged in and made my way through the houses. Got to Phiarlan before going to Jorasco, and loading screen is locked. So there's one thing we have in common.
Wonder if this is one of those cases of the instances not being cleaned up properly that they are working on a fix for currently.

Edit: Going to try restarting and see if it lets me load. If not, I'll try to see if I can load by going to Hall of Heros. May be that any load into house p is currently borked.

Wow, lol. I relogged and i was back in the phoenix tavern, where I started before my house crawl.

Anyway, I went directly from marketplace to house p and it loaded this time.

I'm on Thelanis right now and not exp. issues. Had some slight lag on log in tho.
