Charmed Cultists in Cannith Crystal Broke Crystal and Failed Quest

Was trying to manage this Level 1 Korthos Village quest on Elite. My Charm Person Spell landed just fine but the charmed mob kept attacking my Hireling.

It eventually stopped attacking the hireling and instead attacked the crystal, breaking it in 3 or 4 swings because it was not a Champion...

Same thing happened on next run so I got help.

Ridiculous bunch of horse s' y'all...

That is weird.

Last night when I did it three times, I did encounter a couple times a charmed mob continued to attack a now "friendly" target but it didn't actually do any damage. It just swung a few times before going about like a norm charmed mob. Maybe I'll log on one of my wizzys and play around with some charms elsewhere.
