Cannith Gear and Masterful craftmanship

Well, my Calomel Wraps are still broken. I pulled them out of reincarnation storage, and they were lvl 16 despite being master crafted. I disjuncted them, and redid the master crafting; they're still level 16.

Was this fixed a year ago? Or are my wraps borked because they were in reincarnation storage all this time? If I make a new set of wraps, will they be borked as well?

Your wraps are not broken but the mastercrafting shard will only lower ml back to 16 for the stuff you can craft onto them , I usually add holy to my weapons
for +2 and then remove +1 with a mastercraft shard , item lvl goes from 16 to 20 and back to 18
Don't know where this idea came from but I have never been able to lower said items ml

This does not seem to be WAI. I have a mournlode weapon; I will check for you next time I am in game.

I craft on rune arms allot and it bumps the ML way up, so I use them shards to drop the level back down. I roll up some Iconics from time to time and need to get the ML down so I can use at L15. Too bad it only drops the item 2 levels.

just to second what painkiller says above--the masterful craftsmanship should drop it by two. Here is a screenshot taken just now of my level 16 mournlode shortsword in the hands of my level 19 splash; you can see it is min level 14 also. So there is something odd occurring with the OP's calomel wraps:

I would submit a ticket on that one--seems odd.

My masterful crafted ML12 water khopeshes used to be ML10, but are now ML12. They've been sitting in my bank (as opposed to TR cache) for around two years. I could disjunct them and re-apply masterful, but I'm skeptical that they'll drop down to ML10.

A second pair that's sitting right night to them is properly ML16: ML12s + Frost + Pure Good + Masterful, which means that adding +3 enchantment level properly adds only four MLs.

Yep, and I hate running the Kobold Island challenges. They're such a pain to run solo. Plus my usual character hit epic levels to collect epic challenge items, so he couldn't run the lower level challenges without a huge drop in collection rate.

Really don't like that level 20's can't do epic challenges any more.
