So i recently achieved completionist on my main Lollypopz, and im undecided on what to do with him next.

Hes mostly melee focused so im considering more melee past lives but im not sure if i should work towards epic completionist.
Is it actually worth the extra twist? Or should i just continue getting more heroic past lives?

Hes never been an end game toon yet so gear would be lacking for a while but then with lower levels i have so much that i personally find essential i would have to dump ALOT to make room to carry new gear.

My original plan was 3× fighter / barb / pally / monk / rog / ranger on top of completionist but spending as much time on him as i do i do miss out on alot of end game experience.

Completely stumped dunno what to do, if anyone that was in this position has any ideas?

Cheers.

The extra twist is more valuable than anything you'll get out of more heroic PLs on a melee.

Actually with my toons to break things up I tend to run a few HTR's then when I get a good life I do some Epic TR's and then back on through the cycle. Keeps things interesting for me.

On my PM, to get through the Martial Epic lives, I did a Bard Heroic life, then spent time in the epics as a melee Bard. Did some Cleric and FVvS heroic lives, then when I got one I liked, I did some Epic TR's.

I found that more interesting as I do get sick of just epics or just heroics.

As far as going either Heroic or Epics. Do what is fun for you.

THis. When I did the looks into it, my first completionist will do epic reincarnations in the completionist life. This way he will be strong the whole time and that 4th slot can be used for the best thing he may need, dc/saves.

Iconic past lives esp PDK and BF are really strong for a melee.

That fourth twist is really nice but getting 3 martial past lives for 9% ds along the way is essential imo.

Only if you like epics if you like heroics it's worthless while heroic past lives are useable for both so heroic is much much more valuable

That's true for the twist but the Epic Past Life stances and passives work in herioc as well and I find them at least as valuable as most of the heroic past lives for a melee. Better Saves, Fast Healing, HP, Dodge, PRR, AC are all very nice to have in Heroics.

Indeed; Getting Epic Completionist has given me 9% doublestrike, Colors of the Queen (with 10 sec cooldown), +3 stacking Enchant weapon, +3 to all saves, +12HP, +9PRR, +6AC, +3% elemental absorb all at Level 1 (with an extra +3AC and +12HP at level 10).

That's worth it even without the 4th twist slot, and has been a lot easier than the 6 heroic Past Lives I've got so far.

This. Epic past lives are useful while doing heroic

personally I am planning both to mix it up. You can Epic Reincarnate then immediately heroic reincarnate.

or use the iconics for an iconic reincarnate/heroic reincarnate double past life reward (past life iconic).

This is similar to what I do.

I use mostly Iconic True reincarnates and Epic reincarnates. I usually do 2-4 ERs then an IR to reset the slayer and first time completion bonuses. I make sure to spread out the first time bonuses on off quests and the larger slayer points across the ER lives so the ERs dont get slower each time through.

One note though, IRs do not reset monster manual counts the same way as Heroic TRs.

DDO has no endgame, and I don't see it having one until rewards actually starts scaling with difficulty again, so don't worry about that part, I'm sure you can rock e/n raids even with GS stuff.

To be contructive: I find heroic completionist to be a burden at build design for melees more than anything lately, that +2 to all stats/skills is really meh compared to the old days (and I really don't want to not take it since it took some time to get). On the other hand I stopped playing my alts because they have only 3 twist slots (not to mention that ePLs like doublestrike or spellcrit are kinda uber compared to heroic ones).

I'd say go with whatever you'd enjoy more.

I think it also matters on the build that you are working with.

Loot drops a lot easier now in epics with this last update so it shouldn't take too long get decent enough gear, if you're really set on heroic PLs I'd suggest doing them as Iconic so you can double up on heroic/Iconic PLs. 3 dodge, 15% fortification and 9 PRR and weak sprint boost clicky are all nice to have for a melee and if you like leveling to 28 maybe try out some eTRs.

3 Epic Pastlives from each of the 4 spheres are required to gain That twist.

They will include 3 stacks of 4 passive abilities as well as 4 active stances 3x stacked completely useable in Heroics.

The passive boosts & active stances are much more powerful than many of the heroic PL feats.
