In an attempt to improve the performance of healing hires my guildmates and I have been turning off mass heal in the AI.

What we have noticed over some time now is that turning this off seems to cause them to go brain dead more often. (No idea why.)

I would suggest that the devs adjust the AI of ALL the healing hires to NOT include Mass Heal. It could be on the hot bar so a player could tell them to cast it, but it should never be cast by the hireling on its own. I think this would greatly help this group of hires perform better.

Anyone else notice that turning off a certain action has caused the hires to quit working?

It's been a while since I've used a hireling with mass heal, but from what I recall one big issue was not having metas. If a hireling had quicken always on, that would make mass heal mildly useable. Otherwise, having mass heal on a hireling is in effect just taking the hireling out of action long enough that its certain to be interrupted or the heal come in long after it was needed.

Although, as a consolation I find it humorous that the same hypothetical character (hireling) who was good enough to create flawless dragonscale armors somehow couldn't figure out how to turn on its metas. I personally think the hirelings were the ones that initially discovered duping, its the only plausible explanation.
