Shield Mastery / Imp Shield Mastery

Not seeing any Doublestrike or PRR/MRR boosts from these feats working on my Lamannia toon. I thought that it was just supposed to not work with orbs anymore.

Was testing using a buckler and large shield, and did not see any changes to the above mentioned stats when equipping a shield or when not wearing one.

Shield Mastery and Improved Shield Mastery have been broken. They do not provide anymore PRR and Doublestrike even if you use Large/Tower shields.

not meant to troll but in real life bucklers aren't actualy shields.
stands to reason they shouldn't benifit from shield feats either
not that turbine/wizards of the coast cares about doing a little bit of a check on them.

I don't know the situation with bucklers but I'm running a Paladin 20 Build Vanguard and I exactely have 8% doublestrike less on Lamannia. Also I don't get the buff to PRR but the icon in the buff bar shows ISM feat. I get the Melee power bonus but none of the others.

In the attempt to fix other stuff surely it has been broken also for regular shield users.

Would be nice to get Developers attention on this matter because breaks IMS and SM for all the new Vanguard/Defenders builds running around.

Yeah I would like a dev. statement on this. I would be ok with sm&ism not working with bucklers because of a "feature" but to nerf them into the ground for all new builds that rely on shield use goes to far imo.

Hopefully this isn't intentional, because it makes these two feats utterly pointless on Bastard sword/dwarf axe and shield users.

Though I guess it would be nice for these two feats to not be mandatory for said builds :v

If they still the way they are now on Lama, they make em completely useless to any build. The only positive note is that I free up 2 feat slots and a t2 twist.

Hope this was an intended fix just for buckler.

We're working on a fix for these, this change is not intended (as per notes elsewhere, there is also an intended change where Shield Mastery Feats don't function with Orbs).

That's what I was wondering. I noticed the fix wasn't in the release notes. Would be helpful for vanguards who lost some DPS from holy sword. I'll have to check it tonight when I can log in.

Not "trolling", but you are misinformed.

Bucklers are shields, it stands to reason that they should benefit from shield feats.
