SWF, THF, and Shield Mastery feats offer melee power so why not two weapon fighting. I don't see why it wouldn't be able to have it as well.

Posts your thoughts about it. Thank you.

I think a bonus would be cool but I don't exactly want it to be MP. I don't quite like that every feat offers the same time of bonus is all. I much rather see a double strike bonus. But since the epic feat kinda takes care of that I don't really know.

I don't think it was an oversight by the devs. It seems to have been a deliberate choice for balance reasons.

I was curious as to why TWF didn't get any melee power when melee power was introduced. It seems to be a deliberate choice, and I can count the amount of TWF builds I've quested with since the update on one hand. I'm assuming druid animal forms and monk unarmed fighting had something to do with that. If you're a rogue or other traditionally TWF character, sorry! (On the plus side, 5 levels of bard and a heavy investment in the swashbuckler tree will save a rogue build).

Come to think of it, I haven't seen a melee oriented druid or monk in quite a long time either.

SWF is a no-go for Rogues because it doesn't provide double assassinate.

DPS on Rogues is quite good though. Harper tree was a nice addition.

I was curious as to why TWF didn't get any melee power when melee power was introduced.
It's pretty simple:
Among 4 non-identical melee styles, one of them has to have the least amount of melee power. The one with the least meleepower may as well have zero meleepower, by the principle of parsimony. If it is desirable for TWF characters to globally have more meleepower, then that amount of meleepower can be added to all characters, and then subtracted out of the 3 other styles

Note that this is the same reasoning for why 1 of the 4 styles doesn't have a speed increase.

it's been argued to death before the last update, check lama posts if you care

it comes down to the devs saying that they don't want to accientaly make twf overpowered, the same reason was given for nerfing/not fixing twf cleaves

Probably when people stop exploiting this combat style more than anything, it will be on the Devs to do list to buff it too. But they cannot nerf things now, it would hurt the economy?

Honestly, I'd like to see a small boost on TWF. Melee Power applies to a lot of things, including boosting some types of procs (and likely more as time goes on, which may well be the key reason TWF doesn't get it, because that would swiftly make it ungodly powerful, with high number of hits, and thus procs to boost).

What I'd like to see is just +1 damage per TWF core feat.
For Oversized TWF, maybe give it 5% stacking armor piercing (bigger weapons being more effective for breaching armor, if you need an IC reason).
For TW Defense, perhaps boost the AC bonus to +5 instead of the pathetic +1.
Finally, for TW Blocking, which I've never heard of anyone taking, could give it...um...20% chance to negate reflex-based damage when blocking, like a buckler with Shield Deflection? Don't know that it'd be worth a feat still at that point, but it'd be something.

And so letting 2wf outdated and making the other combat styles strictly better than it is better than making it "accidentaly" overpowered?!?

Devs, 2WF needs an update a.s.a.p.

Be it extra doublestrike and/or melee power or some other bonus but it needs to happen. As it is now, there's absolutely no reason to be 2WF unless you're a rogue assassin. Not even monks have reason to play unarmed anymore since they already have a 2HF tree available.

Killing a popular combat style in favor or Shield Fighting or SWF -combat styles that probably no more than 10% of the playerbase were interested in prior to the updates- makes no sense.

We used to have many Khopesh wielders on Argo, I rarely see one these days.

Example:
2WF - 40% off-hand chance and +3MP
i2WF - 60% off-hand chance and another +3MP
g2WF - 80% off-hand chance, +4MP and +5% off-hand doustrike

For a total extra bonus of 10MP and 5% off-hand doublestrike. I'm not sure it will be enough to compete with 2HF or SWF but at least it'll take away the feeling of being ignored from 2WF fans, like me!

PS: Feel free to leave the cleaves as they are now, 2WF doesn't need to do AoE DPS, but it should be top tier combat style on single target DPS and it -definately- is not...

Edit: PS2: How about stop descriminating against unarmed combat and finally let us expand the critical threat range via Pulverizer and Celestial Champion? It only feels fair to do so, since every single weapon wielder can crit 11-20 or 13-20 these days. It will not be the end of the world if unarmed builds could start using the awesome on-crit procs of TF weapons that everyone else is enjoying!
