If you've quested in the Inspired Quarter around 18-20 Range, you may or may not remember a certain fellow named Jonas Wylkes.

He only appears in one quest, Dream Conspiracy, and you have to rescue him from the Path of Inspiration cult.

Sounds pretty normal, nothing wrong so far, so what's your point, ForgettableNPC? You might be asking.

Well...Jonas Wylkes is a Human.

Not saying there's nothing wrong with being a human, though they could always be, well, less fleshy, but that's besides the point.

His father, Graden Wylkes, who asks us to save him, is a quite honorable Coin Lord who has no tolerance for corruption and bribes and is quite lawful and fair in his dealin-pfft, lolno, he's a Coin Lord, Coin Lords don't do that.

But Graden Wylkes is an Elf, not a Human.
And Mrs. Wylkes is also an Elf.
And Jonas' brother is also an Elf.

...And to reiterate, Jonas is a full-blooded Human and not a Half-Elf or anything...

Something to think about, I guess.

We here at the PFJ fully support brother and sister Wilkes' right to have human children if they so desire.

Furthermore we find it offensive that you are trying to belittle and possibly even suppress that right.

You're in the wrong thread. Comments about being offended belong in this thread (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/451841-A-post-that-can-offend-no-one). :D

And what exactly is "the PFJ?"

I believe Jonas Wylkes is a half-elf in the lore, regardless of whether Turbine programmed that right. Now, how an elf woman married to an elf man conceives of a half-elf child is a "complete mystery with no possible explanation. So you best stop asking if you know whats good for you." At least thats what the Human Arcanist who is a retainer to the Wylkes told me.

Personally, I think the only explanation is a wizard did it.

While daddy may be good & honorable, Jonas has a bit of a gambling problem. After wagering more than he could afford to lose, the rather unforgiving Wizard he's now indebted to has polymorhed him until the debt is paid.

Ah, going with the "A Wizard did it" route.

Classic.

...I assume, more specifically, the Wizard that lives by the coast.
