Anyone knows if the mirror retain the weapon special effect like thunderforged smoke or fire like in http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Charoush%27s_Inferno_(Level_25)

As of the current design they do not. Because of this, it cannot be used on weapons just yet.

At the moment you can use the mirror on weapon as per last patch I think. Didn't try that yet. But on shield was working

Weapon glamering is not yet available, but is something we are working to get done for Update 24. When it is released, the plan is to have the cosmetic weapon include the base particle effect of the weapon you are glamering (fire, electrical, etc.). Players will have the ability to change the "aura" of their weapon as well, using a new kind of cosmetic-making item currently being called the Glamered Weapon Aura. This item will also give players the option to remove the particle effect altogether from their weapon (essentially, just retaining the base look of the weapon being made into a cosmetic copy.)

I'm confused. Are you looking at having two separate Glamering tools, one for Weapons and for the rest; or is the Glamered Weapon Aura to be a secondary item used to modify the cosmetic weapon created from using a standard Mirror?

Will there be a preview option for the "Glamered Weapon Aura" ?

So are we to infer that we have to pay for the ability to turn off undesirable effects that should be a simple UI toggle. If so it better be **** cheap.
I wonder if the model builders cry themselves to sleep after they don't see their hard work in the game.

Better still you can have a TF Rapier, that looks like a chaosblade with a chaosblade cosmetic in the slot and Shocking burst effect cosmetic (if I read Jerry's post correctly) with a shocking burst cosmetic in the cosmetic effect slot. I would love to see Shields get this treatment... How cool would a burning shield look.

Original Enduring Conviction had a bluish holy sheen effect... I'm not sure why they changed that, but I believe it is a bug because the newer silvery effect looks like it's poorly scaled (it's stretched out to the point where you barely see the sheen). The original effect was freakin awesome and I wish they would bring it back or fix it... It looked almost like Skiver if I remember correctly...
So I wonder if I can make a effect cosmetic off of a Skiver put it in the effect slot, and put Enduring conviction in the weapon cosmetic slot, and make my TF weapon look freakin awesome?
I agree this is how to monetize a F2P game ideally... Ive bought a bunch of mirrors already and am already collecting gear just to get it~s cosmetic likeness... If they could make Armor have an effect slot, and maybe figure out a way to let us Hue the colors of stuff via a cosmetic overlayer slot (like a filter in Photoshop) the cosmetic options in the game would finally be fleshed out with looks that match the variety of the build customization.
PS does anyone have a screen shot of an OLD Enduring Conviction (**** question mark key stopped working lol)

So we're going to need to buy a Mirror of Glamering to change the look of the weapon itself *and* a Glamered Weapon Aura to then just get the base? Ugh. Guess I need to start hunting up some of the nice fancy DAxes my dorf wants just to decon.
Will we be able to just use the latter to change the aura of a non-glamered weapon?
Will we be able to adjust the Glamered Weapon Aura at will (without purchasing another one, that is), or is that going to be a one-shot deal?

Ok, getting into the whole Barbie Doll dress up mini game, now. I happened to be in Eveningstar bar last night, and spotted someone wearing a Fullplate armor that was essential the Firebreak armor but with Blue colouring instead of red! Perfect for my Lightning themebuild! After asking the guy what it was, when he nonchantly replied it was a random Planeforged plate, 100k plat changed hands and boom one mirror sold in the store. Bring on the Lightning Chaosblades!!!!
