i know that you get enough xp for lvl15 on an iconic, but id like to play the game from lvl1 with one
now the question is: is there anything negative that can happen? besides not getting the iconic gear till 15 ofc

Well, you won't gain any XP until you take lvl 14, because you can't exceed the XP-save cap. Other than that, no.

Also you can't use a+1 heart to get rid of the locked in level if you want until your 15

No.
I always stop at 3 and run up a full elite streak and get my Coin Lord favor for the first backpack slot. Then level to 14 and start running for XP.
It works fine.

A side question:
Does your iconic character start with 0 favor at lvl 15?

Well, technically this isn't really a problem, you use the level ups, and then when you use the +1 heart to get rid of that class you are back to level 1 anyway, and ready to play.

The exception to this is Monster Manual XP, that will be earned during this time

This is a good idea since this will still keep you in the Bravery Bonus area for level 1 quests and give you some AP to spend right out the gate. I would consider this option myself if I ran an Iconic and did not want to start at 15 but instead wanted to putter around in the level 1 quests. And since I usually craft my gear for TRs this opens up more options.
Also already mentioned LR is not available until you've taken at least level 15. And you will only start gaining XP from quests at level 14 when you have the level minus 1XP to fill in towards level 16.
Also depending on your Iconic you may find the Racial Tree very handy at lower levels compared to the class trees. This is something you can always respect for a few coin.

I am in my final life as a Sun Elf Wizzy. I took up to 15th level and plan on run all the prior quests for favor before hand any way. Nothing to stop you from this of something similar.

Some people don't enjoy power zerging, and like playing at level. I'm thinking this is that kind of player, or this thread wouldn't be here.

I do this with nearly all my iconics. It has several advantages.
It lets you gain favor without it being unchallenging, especially Coin Lord for the bag.
It lets you compare how the character works on quests you know reasonably well.
It allows you to practice the new skills and grow your enhancements as you would normally. Also makes it cheaper to correct mistakes in enhancement and feats, or play one enhancement tree for a few levels and then switch to another.
You can often pick up items that are better then the free goodie bag. Voice of the Master is always useful, for example. I've picked up more useful weapons for my Sorc/Pal Bladeforged than the free stuff.
When you get to a level range that you find boring or don't like the quests, you can level up and get beyond them.
Overall I think it's a much nicer way to play Iconics than jumping in the deep end with a class that you don't fully understand. Especially if you are planning an offbeat build, like my PDK Fighter/Bard, PDK Sorc or the Pal/Sorc Bladeforged.
The only downside is the inability to open quests on elite. But this is a problem in the game as a whole.

Tried this but i cant seem to get out of the reincarnation grove without leveling back to 15 ..
I want to make a pure monk SDK and play from level 1

Also worth noting you get full reaper xp if you line up your level with the quest level; which is quite easy to do when you're allowed to level up whenever you feel like it.
