Anyone knows what is the fastest 1 to 20 leveling record so far, and what was the character build it was done on?

Last i remember somone done 3 days, but that was i think before xp tomes.

I did 1 day 1-20s and 2 day 1-28s. /sorc life

I bet someone who is using xp stone can get it done in couple hours. /we people are cwazy

50% xp pot, time only when inside quest, vip bonus, only high xp/min quests, get a team to help with speeding up quests.
If someone put effort into making it a speed record my bet would be 2-3 hours /maybe less from 1-20

And if you add gold role xp, could be done even faster 1 hour maybe?
But that would require a enormous ammount of luck with gold rolls and money

Possible? Yes. Would anyone do it? Possible.
But why bother heh

(i personally prefer lately to take it easy in heroics since epic content is lame and boring)

Ya gold rolls dont count in my book :D, 1 day is pretty amazing imo. I think a few hours would be extremely prepared, i think i spend more time than that equiping level appropriate gear when i dont rush to 20.

I knew someone who was doing heroic lives in 8-12 hours and that was before 50% pots and exp stones, needless to say he stopped playing lol

Otto box, 50% xp pot, ship buff, voice, do it on an xp weekend, top off with xp tokens from gold rolls.

I'm sure it can be done in 15 min.

Before Bravery streaks my fastest TR was 3 days (probably about 24h of game time)

Since the introduction of Bravery streaks, exp tomes, 50% pots and ottos stones I can do a 36pt TR in just under 4hours.

I fear I am not very efficient in my leveling. For example, I wanted to skip the "salve" chest in Eyes of Stone, so I spent ~30 mins logging on various alts to find two scepters of fleshweaver.

Lol, I had a tr buddy who did that. The portable hole sells stone to flesh scrolls.

I want to say the old record was 18 hours, held by 3 warforged 19 sorc 1 barb builds. Did it on an xp bonus weekend, with 30% pots running the entire time. Back before the bravery bonuses, etc.

I also recall the post of a duo who did it in a single gaming marathon of around 24 hours.

This was before XP stones and daily dice.

Pretty sure it was also a 3rd life+ TR which used the old XP curve.

my personal best for heroic TR was around 30 hours did it on an arti when they first came out, and in large thanks to the dog - they were alot smarter when they debuted but quickly went the way of the hireling unfortunately.

Heroric: For me if I push it I can average about 1hour per level, some are a little faster some a little slower
Epic: haven't really paid much attention but seems to take about 1.5 Times as long as the heroic part

This is with 50 + 10 + 5 +5 going & only counting play time not inventory time

epic is a different story my personal best for doing 1 epic TR was ~4.5 - 5 hours HOWEVER.... that was before crucible was fixed, and on a bonus xp weekend, for those that dont know :

In crucible you have the 4 people that you can talk to for bonus xp, it used to be that you could go in crucible ( difficulty didnt matter, as long as you had the social skills ) talk to all 4 get ~16k xp and ddoor out / reset instance. that was 16k xp roughly every 20 - 25 seconds ( depending on your connectivity ) so at best you were looking at 48k xp per minute - using 50% pot / guild 5 / voice 5 / 30% xp boost ( i think, may have been 20 ).
dual screened it with netflix / youtube / etc.. on the other monitor got caught up on GoT and burned a good number of eTRs till my reincarnation timer resets all disappeared.

I have not done a Heroic TR in ages (been doing Iconic & Epic) but, when I was doing HTR.

I averaged about 5-6 3 hour play sessions Bravery Bonus, XP tome, Gift of the master(never take it off), XP shine & 10% Cannith Challenge pots.

I am sure that is not super fast since quite a bit I am soloing where if I had a good static partner to split objectives it would be much faster.

I've had some good static groups that went from 1-20 togeather before Bravey Bonus but, conflicting schedualls has left me soloing and/or running a few levels with a guildie then back to solo then a few in group.

It was two guys. They took barb levels for the 10% speed boost so they could run to and through the quests faster. I built a water savant based on what they described -and it is one of my favorite toons (pure human though, no barb levels or war forged.)

Respect to them. They did it when it was hard -no bravery bonus, weak xp pots, no Ottos. I am not sure they even had tomes of learning back then. The content was probably a bit thinner too. Any quicker accomplishment now is pretty meaningless given all the shortcuts available.

In old days (nostalgia) its was something to do a TR in one day. Those guys were crazy. I think i never did it faster than 3 days in old times.
Now with all those bonuses its super easy.

OP: Do we really care about records/achievements when store cheating is involved?

i suppose we could care about records / achievements if one clocked when they started an hTR and completed an hTR while logging each quest they did and the time it took to complete, along with all applicable xp bonuses ( excluding daily rolls and stones. ) they have on, might be an interesting thing too look at, if nothing else to see what they did. Would also be interesting to see the xp payout as well per quest if your zerging and doing it without all the bonuses - traps / breakables - just to see how much of a difference they can make in terms of a time to play aspect.

Have a like minded zerging friend and a couple of openers, don't be afraid to repeat or run quests under level.

Total in-game time from entering the character creation screen to "reached highest level available" notice popping up on screen. No xp stones, no pots, no xp weekends, no iconics. Challenge mode: 3rd life only, no muling, no AH, only solo play (opener allowed for non-VIPs; passive players allowed for quests that require multiple people present).

Third+ life doesn't need opener.

Sounds like a fun challenge, though you'd have to skip a few things. I'd say even without raids it'd be a fun challenge.

I only have for del pt2, pt4, sc, bloody /dont need this one tho, old one for the escort the exped and the last one with giant and 2 that go way way back for co6 good xp ones and for the tangleroot zerg ones.

Most arent needed but i used all back pre motu when getting xp was.. different

Now only one worth logging is del2 and sc one tbh

Yep with a good TR buddy I just streak flag for SC now days it's good XP done quickly.
