Problem with Sschindylryn

I am having problems zoning into Sschindylryn. I did the battle for Eveningstar already but every time I click on the portal, i get to the loading screen then ddo crashes. Anyone els have this problem?

Have you accessed the city through the underdark portal yet? According to the wiki (https://courses.cs.dal.ca/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=122) you're supposed to do that before you can get there from the portal in the ES cavern.
Issue might be that the option to go there is displaying, but when you try it stops you from going there.

Usually crashes on zoning intao an area, Especially when its 100%, are caused by a corrupt video file. Might be time to do a re-install.

If you go to the forward outpost in the Kings Forest, there's an entrance to the Underdark nearby. You may need to "open up" that area before using the portal to get there directly. The Kings Forest entrance to the Underdark will lead you to Schindlerslist in the most direct path. You'll traipse through Kings Forest to a small desolate area leading to the Underdark cave. From there, it's a relatively linear path to the Schindlerlist city. You'll stay on a small, elevated path with a bunch of irritating traps and a couple mobs before you reach the portal to the city. The game may be confused because you haven't actually picked up the slayer/rare/explorer in either area yet, and just hang on a load screen trying to bestow the wilderness S/R/E even though you haven't officially accessed it yet.

If you haven't been to either place before, take a couple hours exploring Underdark. In my opinion, it is the most beautiful and well-realized wilderness area in the game. I've been enjoying it for a couple years, and I still get lost. The xp isn't bad either. I can usually get close to 100k in my first hour, which is terrific for low pressure enemies and some wandering around. I usually drink a small xp pot for Kings Forest and Underdark, and it'll give me a massive chunk of xp, if not level me on easy S/R/E content. For me it beats running VoN5 for the 1000th time.

If that doesn't work, try reinstalling as per the above post. If that doesn't work, contact Customer Support.

I had very similar problem with the whole Eveningstar. It was caused by corrupt installation of the game (I used the happycloud bs or whatever it was), nothing else but new install helped, and don't pick the "play while installing" option, just install the whole game without using the happycloud junk and it should be fine.

I went threw the kings forest entrance and eveningstar cavern one but game still crashed. I cant even log onto my character when it happens. Client just keeps crashing.

Edit (actually checked on download site):
I told you, don't even bother trying, my problem was on all toons and servers. Just remove the corrupt installation of ddo from your hard drive and reinstall from ddo.com selecting the option for full download (install, then play) NOT "play instantly". And that should fix it, hopefully :)

Opening up Sschindylryn is not tied to Eveningstar quest chain at all. On her current life, when my main reached level 20 I took her through King's Forest straight to the Underdark entrance, and then to Sschindylryn portal. She got access to Sschindylryn before even Impossible Demands.

And yes, sounds like OP has a corrupted install.

You can surely reach the drow city from king's forest, but unlocking Sschindylryn and Demonweb from ES cavern IS in fact tied to CitW chain...
Since Battle for Eveningstar and The Portal Opens unlock respective wilderness areas from Eveningstar cavern, maybe unlocking them that way bypasses the entire problem...

No way to prove it now that I completed Eveningstar chain. Although I did not speak yet Sschindylryn chain quest givers yet...
