A wierd final Cove run.

So, my playtime at night being severely reduced, I try to run a bit during the day at work if I can pull it off. I logged on during some downtime this morning and saw that Cove was still up! I decided to give it one last shot and fired up my alt account so I could dual box. I was planning on just a gem run, no shards. I went in, brought up the hires, parked the alt account with the hires guarding him at the top of the ramp, pulled the torches and sent the kobolds off to the corner and went about killing stuff.

I noticed that something was wrong after about 10 kills and no gems. It became obvious that something was REALLY off when the named mobs would die and no requisitions, torches, barrels or anything would drop. I cleared the whole place, killed every mob, failed the quest and all that happened was each toon lost a Compass!

When I was booted I was standing on a ship completely devoid of the two NPC's and the boxes. Wonderful, I had the fortune, or misfortune, of literally entering Cove seconds before it was turned off :)

I'm not mad at all, I actually found it quite humorous and I would guess something of a rarity to be in an event while it gets shut down...

LOL, I always wondered what it would be like.

You get to be in the instance, but you get no loot. I thought you would say you entered it on level 1 or something.

That is why I chose to never enter near the time it was to shutdown.

Yeah, unfortunately I had no idea WHEN it was going to close. Last I saw was that it ran until November 2nd. This was at about 11:30AM on November 3rd and it was still running! :)

Great. Now the Union is gonna charge us for that overtime.

U can use the spirit binder at the Tavern in cove and get there every time u die 4 the whole year.

doesn't really help to be bound there, nothing to do there when the event isn't running. If you want an exotic location choose Atraxia's spa, has a bank and tavern right next to each other.

you can read the maps and find chests there. At least it worked that way last year. One goal finished, I have a T3 spyglass from 4 to 24.

Had you tried that during a thunderstorm while playing in a research lab near some experimental transporter laser thingy...well...you saw what happened to Jeff Bridges...just sayin...be more careful next time.

Yes...you can still use maps and get treasure chests...after the event closes.
