Although I miss having something extremely challenging in the distant horizon to work towards, I have to say my present experience running EE streak through a Paladin life has been extremely fun. I realize this is an outlier build right now and may not apply generally, but EE streak seems very balanced for this toon at this time. The downside of EE streak is the narrower level range on lower level epics tends to make filling a group slower. But it hasn't been too bad filling groups and the upside is once a decent EE streak groups forms, folks tend to stick together through a chain or two and you get that suspension of disbelief that you're really participating in an epic story. The one and done nature of EE streaking helps with that too. All in all I'm finding this life to be the most fun in a while. The EEs are not so challenging that we fail, but we have stick together, play well and we get some moments where we don't know how it will go. Bottom line, no matter how the game seems to change, there's so many choices and fun things to do, just find the new sweet spot and let the good times roll!

Yeah, the EE streak was a blast on my Pally life too.

Now I'm leveling Ranger and its like I'm playing a different game.

Pallies. LOL. The "sit there in place holding swing and dont bother moving or clicking anything else because 9000prr" build. Trivializes content.

I think this is the best kind of fun. You get together with a group of fun people and run through a bunch of quests. Good times for all. :D

Choices, choices. I'm finding everything about running EE streaks on my pally less trivial than running open EH parties before the update, hence the thread. I worry about PvE balance but actually a decent pally on EE streak now is about the best balance and most fun I've had in a while. For longer term horizon I can play flavor builds and find my challenge. Not saying this is ideal but I can deal.

I agree with the OP. This is how my 2 static groups play and we are having a good time also.
