View Full Version : An open apology to FranOhmsford and others following the barbarian discussions

Woke up this morning realizing that 35+ years of memories don't always represent the whole truth. I wanted to take just a short moment to publicly recognize that in their very first introduction barbarians did not contain all of the elements that I remembered them having.

In point of fact, they underwent changes through all of the editions from the first introduction of the fighter/thief hybrid Conan to what they became in D&D 3.5 (and even on to 4e and 5e).

That does not mean that within the context of the barbarian pass that we are talking about anything other than the barbarian character class or the problems inherent in giving enhancement trees that will be little more than a splash into other icons. But it does mean that i was over-zealous in the debate with FranOhmsford which isn't productive and, in fact, rather a distraction from the real issues.

For that I am sorry.

Good on you. If more people were willing to admit when they were wrong, this forum wouldn't be such a cesspool.

Hi,

I suppose this is better then deleting page after page of your posts and pretending you didn't write them.

Personal growth for the win.

Thanks.

What? When was I wrong?

You can't prove anything!
