just ran around out in cc for a bit and hardly got map pieces. In Mabar (god, I miss that event) everything you killed gave you items that could be turned in to lower the count.

Why not make every monster worth a map piece, and give whatever extra you want to, but I don't need more doubloons...GIVE ME MAP PIECES PLEASE, thanks for listening

Grab a Pirate grog and run Butcher's Path for an hour. Depending how fast you are, you can farm 400-600 map pieces. And it's close enough to periodically check the map count in Smugglers Rest.

I haven't tried butcher's path yet, but ran kobold assault for an hour (6x10minute runs) with the pirate grog. Nets about 400 map pieces.

I wish there was a way to spawn the kobolds faster.

I can do 20 x 3 min runs netting me 600 map pieces. But that's with my L21 Palemaster.

There are very few people participating they should just lower the requirement.

thank you so so so so much for changing the map turn ins. Not everyone has hours to wait for the map pieces to hit 3,000. Today I was actually able to get in runs with guild and pugs and great fun was had by all. AND we were actually able to get enough shards to make stuff. PLEASE please keep it at 500 or if you must 1,000 but actually being able to run a special event instead of waiting hours and hope I am on at the right time, well, this makes up for no mabar (mostly)

Thanks again for an eight year player of your game. This makes the cove fun again

I almost want to say 500 is a lot too low. Maybe 1000. However, this could be biased since I run torches all the time and not being able to catch my breath really between openings is different. But yeah, got quite a few runs in more than I would have normally. So, if 500 is the possibly the new norm...I will adjust. :)

Shush!!!

I run torches too, but I was thoroughly enjoying myself. However...not to many groups again on Thelanis. Finally found one, got three runs in.

It was great to see people running the event. For those that didn't dupe their ingredients this ended an unnecessarily long wait between runs.

Oh I was enjoying myself..I am just worried about people burning themselves out.

500 is definitely too low. Even taking into account how few people are still running the event there is now no artificial bottleneck to encourage people to form groups. Instead anyone that wants to simply arrives and goes on a solo run - a 500 piece turn in requirement means the doors are open virtually all the time. I've got nothing against solo runs but they're much harder work and generally lead to receiving far less shards at the end

I would suggest a turn in of between 1000 and 1500, just to create a 5 or 10 minute gap where people would naturally group up with others of a similar level.

I would go 750 - 1000 myself. But yeah, 500 just is way to low. Maybe to do it as bonus for a few days while the event is up is fine, but the static number should be higher. When you can pretty much put in the amount yourself to open the door, it's too low. Of course, of some people have their way, there will be no need to fix the door turn in..as they will get the event put on the shelf like Mabar was. But that is a topic for another thread.
