What happens when you are Multi-class? Are your end rewards a combination of the classes in your build? or just your dominant class?

My guess is that the dominant class is used. If you have equal levels, it's a random choice.

I wish more quests would adhere to 'quest end rewards based on class'. Currently almost all 'end game' quests like e-gh, e-necro, e-3bc etc don't. Why bother adding interface to something if you don't utilise it in your quests?

Even on pure classed toons I'm unsure of how this is supposed to work. I don't see all that much that does look useful in general.
After the update which gave Kukri proficiency to assassins, they should have updated the class based rewards for rogues to include Kukris.

You can also turn it off via Options Panel to get 100% random stuff.
I think that option is somewhat useful for new players but I generally just turn it off.

From experiance playing every class with this feature turned on and many multi class.
My guess is that it checks your profiecientcies and that's what you get.
The more you are proficient with through multi classing the more random your rewards will be.

My guess is that the dominant class is used. If you have equal levels, it's a random choice. If you have equal levels you still have one clear dominant class. Easiest way to tell which one is dominant is by looking at your class icon in party display. Whatever class icon you have is your dominant class.

It is actually not useful since it will lock down the item choices to a few types of gear, a new player will need to fill all slots with something.
Id say experiment with it, it might be useful for monks to get better wraps, pijamas,.. but i cant see how a THF fighter is ahead by having offered 5-6 random 1handed weapons.
This one had potential tho.

The option only affects the base type of the items that you see in your chests.
Was intended to allow monks to get more handwraps etc. It won't prevent other classes from seeing handwraps, it's just there to make "class specific" items more prevalent.

I always used to disable it, to get more chance for mana pots at classes without blue bars, and more variety of tomes (don't know if this worked this way, just did in case), but now that both mana pots and tomes are out of reward list I no longer care.
Anyway, you should get reward based on dominant class.

I would really like to know how this works... For instance, I have a 2 fighter 18 monk who keeps getting shields, heavy armor, and the occasional handwraps. Is this because fighter is listed first on the character sheet, and monk 2nd?. This is pretty much on all quests, even the new necro (keep getting heavy armor and helms there, and not really what I want at all, even in the chain end rewards, just got disgusted and quit farming)

What?
Haven't seen them since ERing was introduced.
I done 8 ERs and each time I ran all the sagas (that's few hundreds quest completions), not to mention non saga quests done for fun or XP, or raids.
Have seen exactly 0 mana pots and 0 tomes.
At first I took coms, but now they're worthless I usually don't check the rewards at all.

Hmmm, I guess I see them in Heroics more than I see them in Epics, but then I typically only stay in Epics long enough to farm 20 tokens. I don't see pots as much any more, but there are certain end rewards (Necro IV and the Vale come to mind) that seem to drop them more.

I've found a couple mana pots just in the last couple days.
I found a +4 tome just after U23 came out.
But yeah, it's a lot less than it used to be. I have stacks of mana pots left over from my melee pls, and it's several stacks of 100. It's fairly rare that I find them anymore. Maybe 3-4 per life.

My pure rogue sees a bunch of that too.
My pure artie sees very few tower shields.
So yeah, reward tables work in mysterious ways.
