I must have that 4th slot, and I must get it in the most annoyingly tedious (off destiny farming of only a select few quests) way possible, and I must first complain how horrible it was getting it and then how overly easy the game is with it!

I take it you are talking about the epic completionist players. some of us are still working on the third twist slot. does relaxing make it easier to endure or are you just saying that? even after my 1 character out of 4 gets that 4th twist slot, I still will have the end game loot grind to do. I still have 58 more past lives across 4 characters to do including heroic, Iconic and epic. ill really laugh when they sell stones of experience that help you level without playing in the store to ease the grind we all keep complaining about. oh wait...

Speak for yourself, I'm nearly there, and I've enjoyed every minute, in the process I've watched my toon go from epic average to half decent, as usual, you have no idea what you are talking about, its called playing the game, something I enjoy more than whining on these forums.

Why so mutch stress about completionist ? Its there only as reward for true elitists. Reward you can totally skip. Same about heroic completionist. Neither does make your gimp 10% stronger. If you are gimp it doesnt help you mutch and if you have strong build, strong gear and good player skills then you can survive without it.
About otto boxes easy buttons. Well if somone wants to pay fortune for leveling or even bigger fortune for completionist. Let him do it. Let him pay to turbine. Let him support our game. Maybe he can buy less farming time with his money but surely he pay a good money for that. Anyone can do it .. you can either farm in game for months and accomplish this .. or you can farm IRL, get paid $ for it and then spend $ to reduce ingame farming from months to few weeks.
Its freeking game ppl and if you are jaelous because somone is skipping part of it by spending money then you are doing something wrong.
Personally im 2 TRs from heroic completionist. I enjoyed every life and i think really long about every next build i make. Almost on every life i feel like "yes this is it, this is the buld i like the most" no matter if current build is pure wizard, pally/sorcerer or fighter/FVS/bard ... i dont think about it like about TR train when ppl are doing endless 1->20->TR->1->20->TR.... i play it thro some 21+ levels and i enjoy the game .. then i start to think about next build and somwhere betwen lvl 24-26 i probably TR having FUN.
FUN is what you should have in this game.

BTW just so you know: no one can see your 4th slot, or your completionist feat, or your +6 tomes, or just about 99.999% of the other things you can buy for your characters, so your perspective while it's origins are obvious, does not seem to be based on actual practical objections; so much as they are simply your own internalized self esteem related objections. Some people shouldn't be so busy erroneously believing that what they do in the game reflects on their own personal accomplishment.

I have news for you: almost no one but you yourself cares in the slightest about what you looted in MoD, or how many past lives you have, how you farmed them, or did them the slow flower sniffer way. Or for that matter how many you have BOXED.

Even people you run with on a nightly basis don't give the tiniest of flying aerial daliances about so much as ONE IOTA OF YOUR CHARACTERS ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

When you get over this illusion that anyone cares about your accomplishments, the game becomes more fun and less filled with hellish grind done mostly because you wrongly think it will impress somebody. Most importantly of all it allows you to stop being obsessed with how other people play the game and what they spend their money or time on.

No one cares about having exclusivity from the "noobs" - that battle was fought and lost 3-4 years ago. The community is so far beyond that its hilarious people even bring it up anymore.

The fact that this is what current endgame consists of, is the reason people provide feedback that there needs to be a change.
