Does anyone konw a workaround to keep an orb equipped AND keep the centered status? Is it possible?
Quick explanation: I have my capped Cleric, wis-based nuker, I really enjoy to play with, but i want some more durability in EE content, which I can complete just in groups... So I was wondering about the same old monk/pally splash, to get a good dodge, nice saves and mantain the solid DPS I can provide with a nuker cleric... I was intrigued by the idea to get some more save bonuses using an orb, but I can't find any note about using it and keep any monk stance active...
Did anyone think about it?

Shields, orbs, and runearms - there's no way to be centered with any of them.

Would be nice to see holding an orb or a book not break stance.
I was annoyed when I got my libram and found out as soon as I equipped it that it broke monk splash stance..

Armor and shield are now a viable alternative to monk splashes, might want to consider it :) I know you'll lose some wis from ocean stance but there are alternatives that could replace the 2 DC's even add a little more depending on school.

Monk splash was just the base to get Wis 60+ Without it I can sustain 56-58... AND more dodge... AND more saves...
And sadly I can't craft high level shields with good devotion/radiance lore.
Maybe I'll go with a pair of TF shortswords/kamas, dunno...

Well there's lots of options for Devotion (FoT gloves, or just slot an augment and call it good), and Light Spell power and Lore (Breaking the ranks End reward Helm or Lantern Ring are both awesome). No real need for maximal devotion anyway. But there are good shields for devotion as well Wall Of Wood comes to mind, Purple dragon shield has a red augment, then there's Alchemical shield with Martial tier 3 for the red slot.
As for DC's:
a 3 Bard splash gets you 1 better Evocation DC's than Ocean stance.
Add a Alchemical shield with Martial T2 for +2 Wisdom and you're probably netting +2 Evocation DC's over your current setup and identical "to all spells" DC's (+1 to all and +2 wisdom on the shield if you're not already holding an Alchemical weapon, you didn't say).
Lots of ways to skin this cat (BTW I have two Wisdom based nukers so I've gone through some of the permutations), in fact if it was me I would make the Alchemical Shield (probably tower shield) and use Flametouched Iron for the 90 devotion... It's good enough with heal amp for most situations, and if I need more there's always an augment or swap a caster stick. Truth is these days old school surround and pound + mass heal fights are a thing of the past, and no one needed to hit for 2500 points of healing even back in the days of frantic Harry beat downs in the shroud, or VOD etc.. These days so many people are healing themselves that they have heal amp to the point where maximal devotion or especially lore (I wouldn't slot healing lore intentionally) is just a wasted opportunity cost IMO.
