Started my very own and first guild on a different server than the one I'm usually on.
And no, I'm NOT recruiting. Just getting/stealing fellow guildies from the other server for now.

Anyway, I've always heard that 6 player accounts is the way for the best renown bonuses. No matter how many alts, right?
That's the tiny guild bonus.
And since lvl 10 is when you get the first ship now as opposed to 20, is it worth getting the ship at lvl 10? or should I wait until 20, or is it even an option?

Thanks in advance.

I have several guilds like this for storage and get the bonus. I bought the ship at 10 and was pleased with it. I upgraded it at 40 to next size.

At L25 you get the small ship chest. At L50 you can get the large ship chest. I got one to L46 right now as the only active player. Can't wait to hit level 50 on that one for the small and large old school chests, and the new Guild Storage I and II (L50). This is my motivation for playing a toon in my stash guilds.

EDIT ~ the next FTP ship is at L70.

While six or seven is the magic number for bonuses, it really doesn't matter if you have active people. Renown falls on kills and chests like rain, and there is no decay other than the empty vanity levels, so worrying overly much about the bonuses can be counterproductive to your goals now. Just something to keep in mind.

Well, this is like our little "vacation guild" so to speak. We jump to that server when we want to do fun stuff, without getting pinged every 5 seconds by our friends on our main server.

I realize that once some of friends and guildies catch wind of this little getaway, they will want to join, and they'll be welcomed of course.
But for now, I want to keep it small.
And we might as well take advantage of the bonuses while they're available. Right?

Yes. Six accounts gets you the maximum small guild bonus of 300%

http://ddowiki.com/page/Guild_Renown

I don't know if all of those percentages are accurate now, but for sure six accounts = 300%, since that's how I do it in my guild.

Alts do not count towards # of accounts in guild. For instance, I have myself + 4 bank mules in my guild. Since they are all on the same account, it only counts as 1 account in the guild.

Hope that helps.

It does, TY!

Also, Chauncey1 has a clever idea.

Yes 6 active accounts will get you the +300% to guild renown. http://ddowiki.com/page/Guild_Renown At level 10 You can get a ship but I think your restricted to just 3 or 4 buffs. But its still worth getting a ship just so you don't have to walk everywhere.

Thanks. Yeah, we're definitely wanting a ship ASAP.
We've already got the 50k plat in the guild account for it.
I think we're either lvl 8, or darn near lvl 8.
The funny thing is. One of my guild leaders from the main server is an officer in my guild now, and she's been very enthusiastic about this little venture.
Heck, she's already got more toons in my guild than I do now, lol!

That's awesome, being a guild leader is kinda like being the DM. Once in a while its fun not to have to worry about things and just play the game and have fun.

I bet, lol.
We're still sans ship for now, so I've yet to deal with any of the maintenance of having a guild. But our motto from the guild in the other server is, "If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong!" Or something like that.
