Let me preface this by saying: I only just logged on an hour ago. I don't know what else may be broken (chances are something is).

But.

I just spent a half-hour swapping between toons, passing items, preparing one for a TR. Must have done at least 10 log in-log out routines. The game isn't choking. The logon speed isn't going down. I'm not lagging out on login. The maps are loading much faster. THERE IS LESS LAG!!!

...so I don't care what else was done or not done this day, but this feat deserves a round of applause for a job well done. I hope the game stays this way!

You have me really excited to log in later today. My fingers are crossed that you are right. Since the haunted halls update I've had terrible lag problems...including terrible instance load times. If I have the same experience as you I'll be thrilled.

Try it again after the store is up. Large part of the lag comes from DDO store (3d rendering of html taught 3rd party software), which is offline right now.

That said, I they plugged the memory leak when switching characters, its truly a great thing, and large part of fixing the lag.
