View Full Version : Is there a Haggle cap?

I heard somebody said there was a Haggle cap. Similarly to Jump. I heard there was a cap at Haggle +100, but that is wrong. I just sold at 104 and the price adapted accordingly (higher sale, ofc ;)). So, I just wonder if the cap is:

a) non existent and it's a rumor

b) definately higher than 100, but which score exactly :)?

Maybe one of you guys knows?

Theres a lot of haggle info available on the wiki at: http://ddowiki.com/page/Haggle

Its an older entry, but I don't think anything important has changed other than the increase in the theoretical max section which is obviously out dated by now.

There appears to be a limit on the buy side of 50% of base price. The corresponding max haggle though would vary depending on if you are selling to a vendor or broker and it would vary for vendor based on having the reputation quest completed or not.

I've got a haggle bard who can hit 130 haggle and every point still counts when selling to vendors. I've no longer bother going to brokers so not sure if every point would count there, where the base percentage is higher.

I think the theory is to prevent one from buying things from a vendor cheaper than one can sell things to a vendor.

So likely there is a cap at 50% on both sell and buy, although I am not sure that anyone has reached that on the Sell side.
The buy side has been reached at haggle = 116 = 50% in certain situations?

So pursuing greater haggle in not necessary capped yet, but the theoretical cap is there?
Well, looks like 130 gets 50% about everything?

Thank you very much. That helped. So, 50% is maximum, table lists till 45%. I hit 112 atm. and guess I can live with that. Any more points are just a nice bonus then. But I will TR my haggletoon eventually for PB 36 (2 more lives) and guess I can hit 130, too.

p.s.: I somehow thought this was such a specific information, that the DDO wiki did not have it at all and didn't bother to look. Sorry if it was actually a very simple solution.

p.p.s.: I am burning through consumables with 3 toons like crazy and I am not supporting the *plat has no value* side at all. It is highly convinient to have a Haggle toon :).

Until you hit plat cap at 4.2mm(per toon/ less if lower level and not VIP), then you can't sell anything until you get rid of plat.

Then your haggle toon gets rerolled, or turned into a pack mule.

Not sure why that would be with a 112 haggle... Unless you are running on lower end heroic most of the time.

I can easily generate a million or two of plat in a long weekend as a by-product of earning epic xp. Plat stopped being an issue a few months after I finally ran my haggle bard up to 28 and LRed him to min/max haggle.

Because I am either doing lootruns OR leveling one of my TRs. Don't have time or long weekends. Mostly I am gathering xp. and if the chance is there I put my haggler in an von5+6.
