Quick question, mostly because I haven't been able to test this yet...

The newer random loot versions of deathblock that have negative energy absorption...has anyone determined whether that impedes PM healing abilities? I hadn't ever had named loot with it before, so I wanted to find out before I tried to get an Epic Belt of Thoughtful Remembrance with U23, since I hear it has 18% Neg absorption.

I just dualboxed my cleric and PM. Without a Deathblock I shield, Harm healed for 387. With the shield equipped, it hit for the same amount; I'd've expected a decrease of approximately 12 if absorption applied.

Awesome, thank you very much for the info.

Yes, the absorption affects PM healing abilities, never slot anything with more than vanilla deathblock on a PM.

Okay...now I'm confused...it either is or it isn't. Well, I finally got Lamania up and working, so I guess I'll test it out when I get a chance.

Extremely late edit: Didn't want to revive a dead thread, but for anyone who might potentially look at this, my tests did indeed prove that the Neg energy healing isn't hindered by the new deathblock.

What were your results?

not sure which sheild he was using. but im fairly sure that on lam, the new deathblock (including the one on the beholders eye) DID effect incoming negative energy from PM's aura and such. .... Cloak of night enhancement as the same result.
There was some complaining on lam, but dont think they fixed/changed it since a dev commented on how not every item is designed for every character.

ok, with a deathblock VI sheild (18% neg absorption) and lesser death aura, and roughly 100negative spell power healed for 1-4,
without it healed for 2-8, never even seen a 1 pop up. so it seems like it does block incoming negative energy even from their own aura.

when equipping the shield I noticed the effect deathblock gave in the combat log
Enhancement modifier to Negative Energy Vulnerability: +10,082%
due to decimals and such, the 10,0 can be ignored and thus its 82% to negative energy vulnerability.

Also of note,

when equipping the sheild with the negative energy conduit enhancement, the combat log read.
(Effects): You have multiple effects granting an Enhancement bonus to Negative Energy Vulnerability that do not stack. ( Negative Energy Conduit and +5 Flurry Celestial Buckler of Deathblock )
(Effects): --- Enhancement modifier to Negative Energy Vulnerability: +10,103%

t2
(Effects): You have multiple effects granting an Enhancement bonus to Negative Energy Vulnerability that do not stack. ( +5 Flurry Celestial Buckler of Deathblock, Negative Energy Conduit and Negative Energy Conduit )
(Effects): --- Enhancement modifier to Negative Energy Vulnerability: +10,106%

t3
(Effects): You have multiple effects granting an Enhancement bonus to Negative Energy Vulnerability that do not stack. ( Negative Energy Conduit, +5 Flurry Celestial Buckler of Deathblock, Negative Energy Conduit and Negative Energy Conduit )
(Effects): --- Enhancement modifier to Negative Energy Vulnerability: +10,110%.

from the combat log, it was hard to determine if the 8% was being applied or not, but since the deathblock and the negative energy conduit are both typed as enhancement, its most likely using the highest of the 2 (thus +10% rather then -18%) And thus its possible the enhancement negates the negative energy absorption from deathblock. however. Cloak of night (which doesnt show up in the combat log, thus is most likely not typed as enhancement) DOES reduce incoming healing from the aura.
