Haven't played since I learned, with the exception of a single email to Revelationz (sp?) former guild leader the day after over some unfinished business. Two + hours we played on Thurs evening. I knew something was wrong but was too wrapped up in my own ***** to inquire. I promised to log on Friday evening to check out the new area some more with him. Then I didn't. It wasn't an accident. He was so down, more so than usual, and he usually was. I just didn't want to deal with it. The next day he was gone. I absolutely know that it did not make a difference. I know he said goodbye to me on Thursday. Looking back on it I'm almost positive. The last part is why I'm posting this just shy of 23 months later, still not over this *****.
I was his friend, though we had never met in person. His act was an act of violence that targeted only those who cared for him. I am still affected.
This is no platitude. I truly cannot imagine the pain of his family, particularly his son. How can someone cause such pain to the only people who care? Think about that if you are considering his course. Then suck that **** up and get some help.
